Re: OCFA what do you think? in General Therapy? Topics

Yup, and to George Best.

Re: Best Ballad in General Therapy? Topics

Not sure if I would classify Therapy?’s slow songs as ballads (well, not in the sense of cheesy Bon Jovi or Motley Crue tunes anyways), but went for “Long Distance” - what a monster of a melodic chorus :)

Re: What’s Your Favorite instrumental ? in General Therapy? Topics

Oh well, not that it counts then, but LOSER COP!!!! Love the bit where the groove sets in towards the end - killer beat + love the samples ;)

Re: Worst t? album in General Therapy? Topics

Yeah, production is a matter of taste I guess.

Prefer the guitar distortion more to the one on NANE, but NANE had the unbelievable power drums and bass guitar - imagine what a combo of both would sound like…

I like the clean cut sound, they could have gone down the NANE route again, at least this way it is fresh and different.

Re: Okay, it hasn’t even been a day. What’s your first favourite song off OCFA? in General Therapy? Topics

So far it is tied between DSA and Deluded Son in my case. Both classics - hope they are added to the live set.

One Cure Fits all, unfortunately.

A bit early for that kind of comment do you not think?

It took me a full year to warm up to Semi-Detached (love it now), all others were instant favs.

To my surprise HMV in Dublin already had them in the racks on Saturday. Got 2 of them yesterday and so far I like what I hear.

Bit early to give my favo song , maybe after listening another couple of times. But overall a very good listening experience and some potential live favourites there.

Yeah, got mine at HMV in Dub on Saturday too - was over the moon :)

Re: Graham, Neil or Fyfe? in General Therapy? Topics

Yeah, the whole rhythym section lost a lot of power an innovation if you ask me. Still, wouldn’t change the albums Graham played on.

Like Neil’s drumming on OCFA.

Re: OCFA what do you think? in General Therapy? Topics

Yeah, am liking deluded son as well. Still loving the album. Will agree with some other comments that the album is playing it a bit safe, but I think in a good way. If only there was more effort in promoting it and I think the lads would be in with a shot of getting back into the public eye. Oh well, time will tell.

All in all a gread effort and I find myself listening to all songs back to back with enjoyment.

Re: OCFA what do you think? in General Therapy? Topics

Finally got the album now as well (thanks to however it was who decided to ignore the release date at HMV in Dublin ;))

I really like this album - I am amazed at how the guys always churn out albums that sound nothing like the former, yet still make it sound like Therapy?

Have only heard it once so far, but at the moment I would say that “Dopamine, Seratonin, Adrenaline” is my fav track. I know it sounds somewhat cheesy, but c’mon - can you just envisage buying a few cans of beer, heading off to a field with your mates on a sunny day and just chill listening to this track? Legend…

So far none of the tracks seem filler to me - what an album. If I were to get bitchy, the only thing that I would say that is missing for me (being a metalhead) is a really fast thrashy song.

Man, I love OCFA and as per usual can rely on the lads not letting me down - never have, and never will :)

Re: Ive Just Bought The New Album!!! in General Therapy? Topics

I wandered into HMV on Grafton Street in Dublin this morning only to discover that OCFA is already on sale.

Kind of naughty of them, but hey - I am not complaining.

Snatched my copy, watched Liverpool through Chelsea out of the FA cup and just finished listening to the CD…

What a brill day - the album is amazing :)

Re: new to the questionma?k in General Therapy? Topics

Yeah, Troublegum is the perfect intro album IMO. Basically you will find that all of the albums are unique and special in there own way.

Just after finishing listening to the new album One Cure Fits All for the first time and that can be your second :D

Welcome to one of the most brilliant bands on the planet man

Re: Official reviews of “OCFA” topic. in General Therapy? Topics

“Good metal needs more than muscle (ask Metallica)”

Hahahahaha - haven’t laughed my arse off so hard in ages. Well, I am quite happy that Therapy? have not followed Metallica’s more than muscle metal approach (dare I say load, reload and St. Anger).

Jeez, just goes to show what happens when you send a douche out to review a rock record.

Heaven be…

Re: best song in General Therapy? Topics

I know it is not the most innovative choice, but I would definitely have to go with Teethgrinder.

There is always something about that song that makes me chuck my beer aside at gigs and rush for the mosh pit :D

Re: not long now!! in General Therapy? Topics

Monday for sure - not sure if I can manage to get it during my lunch break, if not after work.

HMV will feel my wrath if there are no copies left

Have resisted listening to previews or downloading so far *shaking*

Re: Favourite Therapy?-EP in General Therapy? Topics

I think Alice in Chains “Jar of Flies” was classified as an EP (first EP ever to enter the American Billboard at No. 1 according to Jerry Cantrell) and that has six songs (I think).

Oh well, all Potato / Potahto to me ;)
