Drowned in Sound… mainly because I write for them, and Efestivals.

Re: Gracious me… in Chit-Chat

29,000, ey? That’s 20,000 more than last Summer. *Reminisces*. I’ve made various conjectures on how the thread would turn out, none of which have been attained. Perhaps the (now-legendary) thread will last another year!
Also, I see Mrs H has been let out into the other sub-sections of the board. Unleashed, perhaps!

Hope you’re all doing well, especially D - who was cool the last time I checked.

Love to the family. :p

Title: I loved last nights episode

Asta la vista! in Chit-Chat

Title: Asta la vista!

I probably won’t be posting on the forum anymore, there isn’t much for me to talk about now! I need a break from the board anyway, for reasons I don’t want to say(You’re all cunts * :p)
I’m also working for one of the top music websites in the country, so I don’t have much internet time anymore anyway!

The people I already talk to have my Email address, so they can contact me anytime. ;)

Anyone else can as well, but remember, I hate your face. *

Most of you have been cool, and very nice to talk to, so thanks!

I might say Hi from time to time, but I will hardly be on the boards from now on.

*joke.

Cheers, and goodbye.

Misanthropologist should be on at 20:20. Which is now…

Eccelstons humours sounded too forced, and he couldn’t do angry acting very well…

Manchester: The passion. in Chit-Chat

Title: Manchester: The passion.

Oh my, this is really quite bad.

Jesus singing Love will tear us apart at the last supper.
Judas singing Heaven knows I’m miserable now in a falsetto voice.
And, old Eastenders Cast offs.

Truly awful, but rather amusing!

Why have you got Selfdestruct in your sig? He stole that from the mighty boosh!

It should read:

Is it me or is everyone getting too shitty round here?? I’m getting annoyed when people are free to express an opinion and if someone doesn’t like it then they get personal - whats that about?!

Yes!
But its alot worse on the Efestivals forum. IE, I said the I wasn’t a fan of the beautiful south and got attacked for it. The argument then somehow led onto the subject of Facsism

No, not really the story…
The script, and the way it was acted! I’m sure he just needs time to settle into his role.

Re: Doctor Who in Chit-Chat

In all honesty, I wasn’t a fan of the xmas episode, it was really a bit too OTT, even for Doctor who! :p

No, not really.
But if they want to swear, then it wouldn’t ruin the song for me! I’m not a daily mail reader.

Re: Music Piracy in Chit-Chat

It seems to be working, fans eager to hear the album have already bought the Online copy, and many have pre-ordered the cd.

Even If people didn’t splash out on both, the record company aren’t really losing out, are they?

People can of course wait until the cd release date, but at least they can have the album a month before if they wish.

I also think that there would be a less likely spread of T? torrents if this was to happen!

Or of course you can just preview the whole album on myspace, thats an idea.

Music piracy happens these days with any band, thats why Bands and labels like Secret machines and Morrissey are finding new ways of offering an alternative to piracy!

Re: Music Piracy in Chit-Chat

Well, of course some people wouldn’t pay for it twice. It would mean that the fans could download it legally a month before the release, and wouldn’t illegaly download it because they were too eager to hear the album before schedule.
The fans would want to hear it a month early and buy the cd/LP though, as I’m sure T? fans would.

The cd is 9.99 and the download is about 8.99 I believe.

I think if T? did the same, the loyal fanbase would buy both copies. That way, everyone would win!

So if its “any good” the band and record label will roughly double their money? Cool, it may go someway to offseting the losses from theft that they’ll suffer.

What qualities should it partake in to be deemed as any good though? Seeing as thats just abit subjective.

Well, if you are a fan of the band, you will buy it, or if you like to play it on your home stereo or have artwork, then they will buy it again.
If it is worth buying in cd format, then people will do that. I know that I have done that with the arcade fire!

Of course, it differs for every person whether they would want to buy it again, but like you said it may go someway to offseting the losses from theft that they’ll suffer.
