Well they are obviously not as comfterable shring it in front
of larger groups and therefore IS apperictated in more intimate
circumstances.

I think the main reason for their being less female comics than male comics IS due to differing senses of humour men usally have a more base and vulgar sense of humour which translates well int audience
type scenarios , while women sense of humuor is usally more refined and diserning which is better appreiciated in intimate circumstances.
