Reuben - In Nothing We Trust. I hated this album for ages but now i’ve given it a proper chance it’s ace. Just takes a few listens like all the best albums do.
Are there any other reuben fans on here? I’d love to know the REAL reason they split up recently!
Yeah, i used to be heavily into that album, and racecar is racecar spelt backwards is good.

the new slipknot is sorry… shit!
it sounds like every song on it has been done before.
and he reverts back to his old annoying style of near rapping vocals.

Re: Metallica in Other Bands & Artists
20,000 people times 5 equals one hundred grand, theres no word on if the band are even playing, and if they do they probably wont charge anyone as theyre organizing it. and i doubt theyll have the usually high metallica set up costs.
and it’ll probably shift a few more albums.

Re: Carcass in Other Bands & Artists
Wasnt swansong issued by like columbia records or something?
did the label pressure them into a more mainstream sound or did the band choose it?

Re: Carcass in Other Bands & Artists
Its amazing how high the contrast is between their earlier gory lyrics and then stuff off swansong which to me has lyrics closer to scum by napalm death

Re: Carcass in Other Bands & Artists
Excised and anatomised, deviscerated disarray
The torso diverged with pride
Deftly amputated, evulsed limbs now defunct
The trunk imbrued, tatty stumps used as lugs
For a chondrin puzzle so quaint
Head and body decollate
A heaving mass so quiescent…
Scattered and scrambled, your teasement grows
A bloody caricature to make whole
A squirming grisly jigsaw, detrital fragments fit so snug
- That missing piece will leave you stumped
I wish science was that interesting in school

Could just be the record company set the price… i’ve seen a few releases come in Digipacks and regular jewel cases and charge more for the Digi, don’t know why… just a way to make real collectors to buy it twice.. which is very cunty. Not standing up for Metallica, but they may not have anything to do with the price. Trent from NIN had a big go about that with his releases as the record company was doing the same.
Heard a few more snippets of the album here and there, some of the bits do sound really cool and have a bit more edge to them… so the album may end up being very good. Then again they could just be a really good 20secs from a otherwise shit 8 minute song ;)
this happened to me with therapy? I bought shameless in a normal jewel case, then a few months later i see a digipack version thats actuall cheaper, but doesnt seem to have any difference.
