Future of the Left. Excellent gig even though it was half full. Went back with the band afterwards via a mate. Great guys.

Re: Petition to have the song “Shameless” released in General Therapy? Topics
I’m sure the bands involved have a copy of the songs - couldn’t a member accidentally leak them? (Mikehell).

Re: t? on british forces radio? gimme back my brain… in General Therapy? Topics
1) Who said it was a session? Was it definitely a specially recorded piece rather than the original recording of the song?
2) Lots of BFBS stuff is sourced from the BBC.
3) It’s a radio station intended to keep the moral up for people doing their job. Do the broadcasters dictate war policy? Do Therapy? support this policy by appearing on the station? Of course not!

Cor - unemployed for a year now. Thinking about going back to uni to do a Masters - not that the first degree did anything for me!

Groop Dogdrill were excellent! I have fond memories of my band supporting them at Southampton Joiners (any excuse to get that in).

Re: PORTSMOUTH GIG!!!!! ITS NEARLY HERE!!!!! 22/10/09 in Therapy? Live
Transcribed from the Portsmouth Evening News 23rd October:
Loads of life left
Therapy?
Wedgewood Rooms, Southsea
From the off there was no doubting the intensity of the Northern Irish trio. Nineteen years into their career and there was no sign of letting up.
Opening up with a pile-driving Rust, the riffs designed to level tower blocks came thick and fast.
But it was from throbbing new single Crooked Timber that things got really crazy. With a skittery punkish energy, after that the band delved into their early 90s commercial peak, with a crunching Teethgrinder, Turn, and their finest song, Screamager with its chorus screamed back by the crowd: ‘I’ve got nothing to do except hang around and get screwed up on you’, accompanied by one of the catchiest hooks on record. The main set finished with their punishing take on Joy Division’s Isolation - another crowd favourite.
Coming back for the encores frontman Andy Cairns, clearly knows which side his bread is buttered - he told us that they would play a couple of songs from the new album before delving back into the ‘last century’.
And so we got Stories, another cover in the shape of a whip through Husker Du’s Diane, Die Laughing and a frenetic Nowhere closing proceedings.
They may be a dozen albums old, but there’s clearly still plenty of life in these old dogs yet.

Also here’s a link to Innocent X and some more Portsmouth footage. I don’t know who filmed it but it’s good:

Re: PORTSMOUTH GIG!!!!! ITS NEARLY HERE!!!!! 22/10/09 in Therapy? Live
I was truly gobsmacked at how fucking brilliant they were last night. I really can’t believe they were that awesome. 7th time I’ve seen T? and was the best.

Re: New Therapy? Fanzine to be started - You decide here! in General Therapy? Topics
It definitely would be cool to have a physical fanzine, as opposed to a website, just for the simple reason you can leave it around and pick it up whenever - and keep it for future reference of course. I didn’t come to the band until just before Semi-Detached came out, when I was 16 or so, so I would love to see old articles beside new interviews etc maybe even old promo ads - or is that too backwards thinking?

Hey, I’ll keep an eye out for you. Pretty excited myself.
You don’t have any word on the second support act do you?

Re: Hey everyone!!!!!! ( new to forumn ) but not new to the band… in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
Hey Stephen. I’m going to Portsmouth gig too. It’s gonna be great. Haven’t seen Therapy? for a few years now - High Anxiety tour I think.

Re: Full UK tour dates in Therapy? Live
Anyone know the second support band? I know it’s Left Side Brain for a couple of gigs - as posted on the Kerbdog forum - but I wanted to know who’s at Portsmouth etc, or if it’s local support.
(Dutch Schultz or Lafaro would suit me fine, please)

Re: So my taxi driver last night was the drummer from Joyrider… in Other Bands & Artists
I’ve got the ‘It Moved’ single and Andy produced the b-sides. They are really bad mixes - I mean really really terrible. I still listen to Be Special quite a bit. Great album.

Re: What’s EveryOne Listening To in Other Bands & Artists
Don’t worry too much - Only Ones is the only one with full Scott Sorry vocals. He does a lot of backing/supporting vocals on other songs - more than CJ who I can’t discern in the mix, unfortunately, as I love CJ’s voice. I’m thinking they’ll be more Sorry lead vocals on the Japanese extra songs.

Re: What’s EveryOne Listening To in Other Bands & Artists
I’m gonna order the Japanese one too - 4 extra tracks! Just listening to the last song Chutzpah - believe it or not Ginger’s vocal are through a vocoder on what seems to be the chorus, although there’s so many bits I’m not sure!

Re: What’s EveryOne Listening To in Other Bands & Artists
A friend has connections. It’s blinding. Some songs are really heavy, some nearly too poppy - like only ones which Scott Sorry sings. It’s good though. The second song Plastic Jebus is possibly the WH’s heaviest ever sounding like Rob Zombie.

Chutzpah - Wildhearts (oh yeah, it’s good)
