one of the reasons i love therapy? is because every album has it’s own character & is different from the last.
but that formular was bound to produce some misses, for me it was spyf.

are there any groups on myspace for therapy? fans?
i had a quick look but couldnt find any!

i just plugged direct into the computer and used the modern rock effect in garage band that i use for recording. you loose alot of sound quallity uploading to purevolume so the tracks dont sound half as good as they did on the myspace page.
i gave your vid another view and noticed the guitar rack in the background. what other guitars and equipment do you own? i’ve bought & sold so many amps over the last year it’s disgusting… everything from vintage 1960’s fenders to modern framus heads but i’ve still not found the sound i want!
i used to use esp guitars but i picked up a mid range schecter by chance last year and spent a month adjusting the neck, bridge etc to my settings (i use a wierd tuning… b,f#,b,e,f#,b) and now it’s the best guitar i’ve ever owned!

i wouldnt change your set up either, the td6v & sr16 are awesome… that alesis was my first drum machine and taught me how to program and sequence before i moved onto software beats.
the beta monkey loops are great if you decide to go in that direction. you can hear some demo riff ideas i made using thier loops on the 3rd & 4th tunes at http://www.purevolume.com/archstantonporno.
although, the sound quallity on purevolume really sucks compared to myspace.
i had some complete tunes using beta beats on a myspace page but it got deleted… bastards!

never mind, i figured it out and have downloaded the vids again!

i really dig that tune. you have some good chops there and a great playing style. catchy riffs with catchier melodies.
why are you making home demos instead of playing in a band with material that good?
i never liked jackson so i’m not a fan of the guitar although your sound is pretty good.

sorry but i always thought that was the worst song on the album. everyone else involved on that album mixed thier sound & style with the artist they were paired with but that tune sounds like any other slayer song but with bad vocals.

yeah the cover is played very simular to the original but was recorded 6 years after so the production is (slightly) better.
does anyone have other links to originals that therapy covered?
i think that was their most obscure cover, still, i havent heard husker du’s diane in a long time!

i remember finding andy at the bar after they played the roadmender in northampton.(forget which tour).
i asked him why they didnt let my band at the time open up for them.
we were a local college band and begged the venue and called t?s people but they wouldnt let us play.
andy shrugged his shoulders so i drunkenly made a few irish jokes and stumbled back to the disco dance floor.
i failed to tell him that i was the one who nailed him square in the chest with our demo cd half way through their set. he picked it up and read out our bands name over the mic before tossing it aside and said “i’m not listening to that tonight”.

i read our site at least 3/4 times a week.
although allot of bands dont have their own sites anymore most of my friends who are in known established bands read their own myspace page whenever they can to get feedback.
the only posts most members make are updates & band news but they’ll read all coments and messages to hear their fans opinions and to give them ego boosts(drive)!

for xmas i finally found and bought myself a copy of scopophobia that’ll work here in america.
it’s an imported version from brazil so the booklet and menus are all in portuguese but it works fine and i finally got to see the damn thing.
it also only cost $40, not too bad.
so i gave everyone on here an xmas present too as i’ll no longer be bitching about a us release of the dvd!

so, obviously all the samples are taken from recordings of serial killers.
does anyone here know how to get hold of those kind of recordings?
i woundnt know where to start looking.
i want to put a shit load of samples on our new album but dont want to take samples directly from other bands recordings.
any help?

i’ve heard the same samples used by a couple of other bands but never got around to finding their source. plus i want to steal the intro and use it with my band lol.
