Hetfield is a great, aggressive singer/frontman — just my opinion there — I’ve followed this thread for a while and know a lot of you don’t agree. ..
i totally agree, Hetfield is fantastic singeger, gutiarist and songwriter, especially his voice in moe recent years where is lower and gruffer from years of smoking and touring, he should fuck off and do some solo shows with an acoustic :)

Re: Pitchshifter in Other Bands & Artists
.com is amazing, 10 years on theres still nothing like it. as for the subsequent albums, i love them, Deviant was a step in a punkier direction, whihc really confused me when the guitarist left saying he wanted to play more punk stuff, and PSI starts off abit slow but has some killer songs on it, and also led me to discover the glitchy beatatic Drawbacks as the did some of the programming and have been permanment shifter guitarists since 2003. plus the new songs on the free cd’s given out on the last couple of tours are really promising, big and brutal sounding.

Re: ‘a’ in Other Bands & Artists

but the production on the last album was really good, big and brutal yet still pop punk songs, though the first song was very Jane’s Addiction :)

Re: Problems with BT? in Chit-Chat
My only problem with BT is they want £125 to reconnect a phone line which has a dial tone and simply needs switching back to them at the exchange after it was previously owned by a different supplier that no longer exists :(

Re: Bad Joke Thread in Chit-Chat
heard this one many years ago but it still makes me chuckle
a young boy and his dad are out driving one day when the dad is pulled over for speeding. the policeman deals with him and then says “ill be round your house tonight to collect the fine”. after the policeman has gone the dad says “bastard”. the boys asks “dad what does bastard mean?” top chich his dad replies “oh its another word for policeman.”
when they arrive home the dad trips over the door mat and shouts “Shit”, the boy asks “what does shit mean?” and is told, “oh its another word for doormat”.
a little while later his dad is upstairs shaving when the boy hears his dad shout “bollocks”, once again the boy asks what the word means, and his dad says “bollocks is another word for chin”
the boy wandered downstairs where his mum was preparing the chicken for dinner, as shes cutting it the knife slips and cuts her so she shouts out “fucking hell”, but the boy only hears her say “Fucking” so asks her what it means and she tells him “its another word for cutting”.
at that moment the doorbell rings, the boy answers and its the police man from eariler so the boy says ” Hello you bastard, come in, dont stand in the shit. my dads upstairs shaving his hairy bollocks and my mums in the kitchen fucking a chicken”

Re: Should t? stay trio? in General Therapy? Topics
3 piece, theres so much stuff they play that they wrote with martin and it doesnt sound like its missing anything as a 3 piece. also 3 pieces improve each members playing and makes them work harder. plus, Andy has improved soooooo much as a guitarist seems he learnt alot playign with martin and he’s still a fantastic riff machine. plus if they ever want any cello on future recordings u know martin would pop in the studio and do it for them :)

Daisy Rock Guitars in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)
Title: Daisy Rock Guitars
i just bought the purple one for £160 ex demo and its ace, hella gay looking but ace for the money i paid for it, nice trashy sound, wiht option of single coil on the neck that doesnt sound muddy like alot of neck pickups can. :)
just wondering what other people think of them, cos i went to the shop inedning to buy a danelectro, (wanted somehtign wiht single coils thats not a fender) but they’d sold it so wandered off, missed my train so wandeed rosund wating for the next one, follwed somehot girl co si had nothign to do and ended up back at the same shop so went in and tried it and ended up buying it.

Re: best production in General Therapy? Topics
if you ask me they’re all fantastically produced
particular faves are NANE, it just sounds like ur standing in their practice room. and and certain songs may seem a bit polished but it works with the poppy or more epic nature ofsome of the Semi-detached stuff, where as SPYF is just areally dark album and the procution just work really well, specially on He’s not that kind of Girl, its just got that seedy old jazz vibe mixed wiht dirty rock :)
infact, the only thing that really stands out that i dont like procution wise is the snare on “Walk Through Darkness” just because the noise gat is set too tight soin the intro u hear it cut out too soon not enough of the natural ring
