Has this been mentioned before…? in General Therapy? Topics

Can you just imagine Andy coming onstage, saying “I’m not even supposed to be here today!” then launching into Berzerker? :D

We’ve decided on a title now, if that helps anyone with inspiration, it’s “Break Even”.

Suicide Pat? Wow, being a postman must be REALLY depressing…
Why oh why are all the cool old-school T? shirts always large or extra large? I’m only little, dammit!

Re: Is there a band with a sound like therapy?… look alike in Other Bands & Artists
3 Colours Red perhaps? Some of their stuff has a similar vibe to T?’s poppier stuff.

I really like gameface at the moment.
I’d say they’re my second favourite band after T?.

Re: Taproot in Other Bands & Artists
To be fair Graeme, saying they’re bigger than Limp Bizkit was a little bit silly!

Re: Idiot Pilot
Went to see them about a year or so ago in Sheffield after hearing To Buy A Gun, they played to no more than a dozen people but still put on a really good show. We took them out for a kebab afterwards :D nice guys. Their album is about 50% filler but the good tunes are awesome and their live show is impressive.
Here are a few more recommendations who haven’t been mentioned yet, and which songs you might want to check out:
Texas Is The Reason - Back And To The Left, If It’s Still Here When We Get Back It’s Ours, The Magic Bullet Theory, Johnny On The Spot
Gameface - My Star, The Pirate Song, Sweet Wreck, The Warmest Heart Attack, Laughable
Q And Not U - So Many Animal Calls, Line In The Sand, Black Plastic Bag, Hooray For Humans, Soft Pyramids
Far - Bury White, What I’ve Wanted To Say, Punchdrunk, Mother Mary, Wear It So Well
Red Animal War - Starter, Jambalaya, 77, When Fat Pigs Fly, Backbreaker
Shades Apart - Fearless, Getting Over It, Cathode, Trying To Remember
Ruth Ruth - Julia You Have No Heartbeat, Uninvited, Brave Girl, Pervert, Jerome
Planes Mistaken For Stars - Copper And Stars, Blinders, Division, Staggerswallowswell

I tried to do this for someone who only knew Screamager, I gave up after I got to 3 and a half CDs worth.

Anyone else into this sorta techno/dance type vibe therapy? used to have/sometimes have going on?!
Very much so. Just started a band myself with a similar kind of feel to that.
Quote (author unknown):
I loves it myself - Only heard the clip of innocent x on this site but its great… Any other songs/bands with thise vibe?
Check out the track “Rehab” that Andy did with Manchild. Also, look out for stuff by Meg Lee Chin, Polysics, Mad Capsule Markets, Pitchshifter, Idiot Pilot, Error, VCR, Grand Theft Audio, Snake River Conspiracy etc.
Quote (author unknown):
Don’t spose anyone could email it to me could they?
Nope :D

Re: One Cure Fits All For Ebay International Fans in General Therapy? Topics
It’s a great idea, T? are going to get their cut no matter where the album is bought, so why should people overseas have to pay stupid prices? I’d be more than happy to put copies up if anybody wants one, as long as my eBay/Paypal/postage fees are covered in the price. It shouldn’t be more than £13 or so, depending on the location.

Re: The Cooper Temple Clause in Other Bands & Artists
My old band supported them, they were arrogant knobends with a “holier-than-thou-because-our-haircuts-are-awesome” attitude. We pilfered their rider because they refused to talk to us.

The intro to Walk Through Darkness always gets me singing Lonely, Cryin’ Only.

Just the one I don’t have, Diane Acoustic (from Bad Mother, obviously…) so if anyone wants to send me that I’d be extremely happy.

Re: Acoustic Sets Manchester / Nottingham in Therapy? Live
The Nottingham gig was rather special. Andy’s phone going off between songs made me chuckle, especially after saying earlier “I’ve had to turn my phone off because I’ve got relatives in Nottingham and I’m expecting them to ring me”. I can’t really remember the set list, it was along the lines of (not in order!) Rain Hits Concrete, Knives (the jazzy version :D), Rise Up, Rock You Monkeys, Walk Through Darkness, Screamager and Nowhere (complete with hummed solo).

I’ve had the OCFA site banner as my signature for the message boards I post on for a while now, linked to this site. Had a few people mention it, mostly with “are they still around?”.
