You get older, real life creeps in and before you know it all the time you used to have to dick off on the internet is gone. :)

Andy in a US Magazine?!?!? It’s True!! in General Therapy? Topics

So I’m flipping through my new issue of Guitar World and I see a full page Framus advert. Not really paying much attention I think to myself “Hey, Andy uses Framus”. As I go to turn the page I look down and I see Mr. Cairns staring back at me. Being that we don’t see much of T? here in the states I promplty flip my shit and call up my buddy who is also a T? fan and he proceeds to flip his shit.

And thats my amazing story.

Cheers!

Re: Exclusive Therapy? webgig now available in General Therapy? Topics

Just downloaded the webgig and the boys sound great! Plenty of piss, venom and fire!

I think we all owe the boys thanks for doing this one for us.

Cheers,
Mike

I cast my vote for Evil Elvis’, Screamager and 30 Seconds.

I’m writing in Misery and I’m doing it right now. :D

Re: Fall Out Boy in General Therapy? Topics

I can’t apologize for everything we’ve done wrong as a country. ‘Sides, I sure as hell didn’t vote for him. Get someone from the midwest to apologize for that. :D

It will never happen again. I’m so very sorry about all this.

As an American I’d like to apologize to everyone abroad for Fallout Boy.

Re: Biggest crowd Therapy? ever played for..?! in General Therapy? Topics

I’m gonna take a wild guess and say that it wasn’t the 22 people I saw them play in front of at Club Laga in Pittsburgh, PA back in June 2001.

Despite the tiny crowd the boys rocked it like they were playing a packed arena. Still the best live show I’ve ever seen.

It’d be easier to find Santa Clause on my side of the pond. But, thanks to evilbeast, I’ll soon have it.

Another vote for Troublegum. It fits the album completely (no pun intended).

Yeah you have a pretty good point there - I saw the post, but didn’t read all of it, and posted my reply anyway. I then finished reading it and though, well I sound like a proper cunt don’t I?

Trust me, I know how you feel. :D

Re: Therapy? Frustration And The American Fans in General Therapy? Topics

You seemed to have missed the boat on this one. Everything was resolved a little shy of a year ago, and I’m pretty sure somewhere amongst all these pages I said that I did, in fact, have a copy of NANE.

I swear, this thread will always come back to haunt me.:D

Re: One Cure Cover in General Therapy? Topics

Reminds me of Nurse. Not too keen on it, but as long as the music kicks my ass I could care less what the cover looks like.

That Thread was like a war, North America vs Europe I’ve talked to Micheal A a couple of times not knowing what a mad start he made on the WOM and to piss the band off themselves on the Offical website not even Innocent X did that and I’ve read the archeives and that guy was an ass.

Ha! It’s my ghost come back to haunt me! :D
I did make an ass out of myself with this thread, didn’t I? It’s all water under the bridge now.

I really do hope that the boys in the band hold no ill will towards me, though I wouldn’t balme them if they did. They still have a round of drinks waiting for them in Pittsburgh, PA if they ever make it stateside again.

I’m glad all the WOMbles here didn’t hold my first thread against me, you guys (and gals) are the coolest bunch of folks I’ve ever run into on the web.

Re: Do You Owe Therapy? A Thank You? in General Therapy? Topics

Therapy? has become a huge part of my life. I found T? when I was in junior high, I was around 14 years old. At that point America was buried deep in the “grunge” sound. I didn’t think that there was anything new out there, then a friend lent me the soundtrack to Judgement Night. The movie was pants as was most of the soundtrack but, holy shit, when I heard “Come and Die” I was totally blown away by the music. I found out it was Therapy? and picked up Troublegum. It was just the mindfuck I needed at that point in my life. I quickly copied the cassette for my friend and we set about wearing both copies out. This was my sound, this was my music in every way, shape and form, and, unlike so many other bands, they just kept getting better as they went.

As far as I’m concerned, they are the be all end all.

Re: What do you think…? about andy in General Therapy? Topics

Andy’s hair style (facial or otherwise) don’t really matter to me so long as he’s suitably pissed on brew and in a surley mood. :D

It also has one of the best lines in any T? song…
“I hate everyone but you, sometimes I even hate you too”.

On this Columbus Day, October 10th, 2005… in Chit-Chat

Title: On this Columbus Day, October 10th, 2005…

Fuck Columbus, he was lost, Mickey Mouse needs speed
Uncle Sam spoon fed on crack, ET loves LSD
Diet-Coke head Barbie dreams of sex and God in jeans
With friendly-fire Arnie pumps PR for the media war machine

Forget Columbus, lost your culture
Forget Columbus, lost your culture

Every dollar, family moral, in Cosby we trust
Sesame Street, kids with toys bought from Guns ‘R’ Us
Have a nice day in hell today, white hot concrete screams
Reality is living your life to fulfil your dreams

Forget Columbus, lost your culture
Forget Columbus, lost your culture

Forget Columbus, lost your culture
Forget Columbus, lost your culture

Forget Columbus (ET loves LSD), lost your culture (ET loves LSD)
Forget Columbus (ET loves LSD), lost your culture (ET loves LSD)
Forget Columbus (ET loves LSD), lost your culture (ET loves LSD)
Forget Columbus (ET loves LSD), lost your culture (ET loves LSD)

My weekend T? roadtrip in General Therapy? Topics

Title: My weekend T? roadtrip

So the wife and I had a wedding to go to this past weekend and it was a 6 hour trip to and 6 hours back. Knowing this was going to be an asslong boring ride I loaded up my CD wallet with all the T? studio albums and 3 CDs I put together of all the T? B-Sides and rare tracks. During the drive down we managed to listen to every single T? studio album, starting with Caucasian Psychosis at 9:30 am and finishing off with NANE at 3:30. For me it was great to listen to everything from start to finish and to hear the T? sound evolve from ‘91 to ‘04.

About the time I put in High Anxiety I started hearing something off to my left. I turned, to face the strange as it was, and saw my wife singing along to “Who Knows”, then she went on to sing along with all the rest of the tracks from “Stand in line” to “Never Ending”. I knew she had listened to HA a few times but I had no idea she had listened to it enough to know the lyrics. After I switched to NANE she kept right along singing! She knew damn near all the lyrincs for that disc as well, and she told me that NANE was her favorite T? album. I didn’t even bother to debate the merits of the rest of the T? catalog with her as I was just happy she was digging T?.

So I guess we can add another T? fan to the club, and all these years I thought she was just putting up with my music! Who knew she actually liked it!

Re: Therapy? and Anthrax, up for it? in General Therapy? Topics

vagabond wrote:

yeah, that would be cool … but only IF anthrax would get rid of joey belladonna and dan spitz again … that reunion sucks … bring back john bush and rob caggiano …

What he said.

I respect what The Belladonna era ‘Thrax did and their contributions to the art of the heavy sound but John Bush is a much better frontman, IMO. The writting is better and more coherent and the performances are much stronger and solid on the Bush era Anthrax albums.

I’d see the show regardless, but if it was the Bush era Anthrax I’d be all “WHOOOOOO!!! T? and ‘Thrax!! This is gonna be a killer show!”. Seeing as it would most likely be the “reunion” Anthrax at this point, I’b be all “So, when’s T? hit the stage?”.

T? T-Shirts in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Title: T? T-Shirts

Ok,here’s the skinny. I despairately want a T? t-shirt or 2 but, in an ironic twist of fate, I’m broke at the moment. If there are any WOMbles out there that might have a T?-shirt or two they wouldn’t mind trading off to a decent American bloke maybe we could work out a deal. I don’t know exactly what I can offer in trade but I do know I wear an Extra large. :D

Cheers,
Mike
