Re: Therapy? - BBC2NI 11.20 tonight in General Therapy? Topics

Yeah judged, they obviously haven’t updated it yet - the buggers - keeping us waiting like this. :p

I want to hear it too…

Re: Therapy? - BBC2NI 11.20 tonight in General Therapy? Topics

Will we be able to listen to it after the broadcast time too? I’ll be working tonight, and I really wanna listen to T? when I get home.

Re: The Squall Thread in Chit-Chat

You deliberately did it not on purpose? Ha, just kidding with ya. :D

Re: Therapy? - BBC2NI 11.20 tonight in General Therapy? Topics

I entered too, even though I live in Scotland, and have never seen the show. :p

But any chance to get my hands on some Neil Cooper drumsticks, or anything T? related is cool.

If I was to win the drum sticks, i’d get a bit of gaffer tape and stick them onto my drum kit somewhere, and shout: “Look at me! Look at me!”

Hehe, although the only people that would know T? would be my fellow band members, and the people who know us playing Screamager…Oh well.

Re: A Poll On Poles in Chit-Chat

Women on poles…Can’t belive you weren’t thinking of that when you did this poll of polls. No, pole of poles, or rather poll of…ahhh forget it.

Re: Marmite in Chit-Chat

Seeing the picture of the Marmite made me think…

People who get yeast infections, is that because they’ve decided to spread too much of this stuff in their, let’s say, intimate regions?
:p

Re: Glastonbury in Chit-Chat

Oh and on another note, at least the flood at Glastonbury will mean some of those stinky buggers finally have a wash…:p

Re: Glastonbury in Chit-Chat

If the BBC decided to broadcast Download, and get the rights from channel 4, I’d be a happy guy.

They could replace Glastonbury with Download, cos that’s music. I’m fed up of hearing these whiny indie bands, I wanna hear some heavy shit!

To me, Glastonbury isn’t very exciting. I thank you.

Wheres the: “I’ve never had it before” option?

Re: Keane in Other Bands & Artists

I don’t like Keane, the chubby singer has too much of a whiny voice for my liking.

City Of Evil - A7X in Other Bands & Artists

Title: City Of Evil - A7X

Avenged Sevenfold’s major label debut album is absolutely awesome. There’s not as much screaming as there used to be, but that makes no difference, the tracks are good, it has a good metal feel to it. There’s a mix of “Ballady” songs, and out and out metal tunes.

Ever since seeing them live in Glasgow a few weeks ago, I’ve been hooked on all of their music - I was a fan before, but now I’m really a fan!

Anyone else here have the new album? If not, why not?!!! Give me your thoughts on the album.

As long as it doesn’t start selling those crappy fashion bands…

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat

I saw Avenged Sevenfold in Glasgow at the Arches last night, it was awesome. Travelled down from Aberdeen with a few mates…and damn, it was worth it.

Re: Gigology in Therapy? Live

I think you’ve missed out Aberdeen, Saturday, November 27th, 2004 at Moshulu. (Not certain about venue, about 75%)

I should know, I had to miss that gig to play a gig with my band…I would have loved to see T? play live, although saying that, my band do play Screamager, and did so on that night ;)

Re: Extra Uk tour in Therapy? Live

I’m hoping they come up to Aberdeen again this year, apparently Andy said they would…But then it’s not really up to him.

I missed them last year in Aberdeen cos I had to play a gig of my own. Man, I would have loved to have seen T? live, it would have been awesome.

Re: Eurovision 2005 in Other Bands & Artists

Lol. Old Tezza sure makes the Eurovision, well, Eurovision. Without him, we’d probably have enthuisiastic hosts, you know, the ones that actually think the music is good.

Terry Wogan is a legend. That is all.

Re: V-Drums in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

Well, as you say, they’re handy so that they don’t annoy the neighbours. However, I find that on any electronic kit I play, it just doesn’t have the same feel. The bounce from the pads just isn’t the same as as real kit.

Of course, you can have loads of different sound effects.

The pads are too small for me. When I’m playing, I like to use a lot of the skin, but electronic kits restrict that sort of movement.

That’s just me, but I hope that’s helped you in some way.

Re: Therapy? comp Help in General Therapy? Topics

“If It Kills Me”!!! I’m into that song big time just now, I really like the drums on it, and no-one can hate it.

Oh yeah, and shove on “Screamager” too, a T? classic, and my band plays it, so I’m a little biased towards it. :p

Re: Fellow drummers and others… in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

I used to be an air drummer…Until I realised I wanted to annoy the neighbours.

Re: Kits of the World in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

I was told to post in here being a drummer, so I will. My setup:

I’ve got an old Pearl kit, dunno what kind, cos it’s second-hand and doesn’t have any style-labelling on it.

12” Tom
13” Tom
16” Floor Tom
22” Bass Drum
14” Tama Rockstar Snare

My snare has an Evans “St Dry” skin, I sometimes use an Evans O-ring on there as well.
Hi-tom - Evans Genera G1 coated
Mid-tom - Remo Weatherking Coated Emperor
Floor-tom - Remo Weatherking Coated Ambassador
Bass Drum - Remo Weatherking

I’ve got Zildjian Titanium ZXTs:

14” Hi-hats
16” Crash
10” Splash
20” Ride
Also, a normal ZXT 14” China

Hardware:
Tama Iron Cobra Double Pedal “Power Glide”
Stagg (yuck) Stands apart from the snare which is Premier. (I was on a tight budget…)

Oh, and I usually use Steve Smith Signature Vic Firth sticks.

I might be able to get a picture up shortly :p

Re: Neil’s Kits. in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

For 20 (or 19) he has hellish speeling errors. But that’s pretty cool that you get lessons from Neil, that would be bloody amazing!

Fellow drummers and others… in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

Title: Fellow drummers and others…

Hey, I’m Scott, long time reader, first time poster…

I play in a band in Deeside with a few mates; “Screamager” being one of our covers. I’ll no doubt get to know a few of you as I continue to post on these boards, so I’ll bid you ciao for now.

:)
