Re: The Manics New Song in Other Bands & Artists
Am i the only one here then that actually thinks the new Album is up there with the other great albums they’ve made like Holy Bible and Everything Must Go? (Though thats definetly not to say better than)
Easily better than Lifeblood and TIMTTMY methinks. The Second Great Depression and Imperial Bodybags definetly my favourites from the Album. Looks like Manics seem to be going back to what they’re best at. Solo’s and catchy songs.
I for one can’t wait till Monday to see them. Shame it’s in Glasgow… :(

Re: Kings Of Leon in Other Bands & Artists
Well i was there last night and as much as the band were good, i have to say the crowd seemed pretty…lax. I dunno, maybe it’s just me but i pretty much waltzed to the front of the crowd after “The Bucket” and didnt get the usual fun of rubbing up against people really tight :(. Thats not to say the whole crowd was holding back. I got a bit of rough and tumble during Four Kicks.
Still, tight set and generally good night had! Not quite as good as seeing Therapy? at The Garage mind ;)

Ah, Mrs H, the legend herself. Usually, i would frown upon a soggy chip, but cus it’s from you, i’ll have a post-bag full!
*gets stuck into soggy chips and free champagne*

Re: Gracious me… in Chit-Chat
Mrs. H never got the vital post?! GAY. Ah well, lets get drunk! Hope the big Tipton never drank all that champagne, and you let unrequited near a donkey!? WHILST DRUNK!?
Why, i fear i may have to call the RSPCA again :(
But anyway, HAPPY 35000th POST!

Re: Gracious me… in Chit-Chat
Hmm, interesting choice, but one to be put on the back-burner, as i personaly think ‘Unrequited talks like the guy from Shine on crack’ has a better, catchier riff. Besides, that song about me is out-of-date…i now smell of dead, shit covered tramp boyo ^_^

Re: Your albums of this year (2006) in Other Bands & Artists
Hey, his singing has a child like quality to it.
Mainly that of a moaning retarded child on fire but still, i like it. :D

Re: Your albums of this year (2006) in Other Bands & Artists
List of the year!
Thom Yorke - The Eraser
Nicky Wire - Who Killed The Zeitgeist
Therapy? - One Cure Fits All
Flaming Lips - At War With The Mystics
Muse - Black Holes And Revelations
Albert Hammond Jr - Yours To Keep
Adam Green - Jacket Full Of Danger
The Strokes - First Impressions Of Earth
I have to admit. I’ve been pretty lazy with my album buying this year. I’ve mainly been digging into older stuff and listening to a lot of KID A and getting into Violent Femmes and King Missile rather than listening to any new tunes…meh.

Caucasian Psychosis (Technically two albums, but, hey, who gives a cunt :D)

Re: Your first Therapy? Gig in General Therapy? Topics
The Garage, Glasgow, 27th November 2004
Supporting: Winnebago Deal, Tokyo Dragons(Though i never saw Dragons as thanks to a shitty cab driver, didnt get to the place in time  )
My god! What a fucking great show. Since i’ve been about 5 i’ve been listening to Therapy? through my brothers bedroom wall and from nicking his cd’s when he went out so it had been a long time waiting. I remember walking into the gig with Winnebago Deal screaming the place up and quite frankly being very loud. What a way to open up my first gig :D.
Anyway, got through them, Therapy? came on and kicked the arse out of anything i have seen since (Though that drunken night a month back when i saw Albert Hammond Jr came close, though that was more because of what happened than the actual gig. Wont say much but my god does Albert Hammond have a sexy girlfriend :o). And ever since then i’ve been trying to convert my friends over to Therapy?…still trying :D

Re: maybe there’s no therapy for me after all? in General Therapy? Topics
I’ve never really got why Shameless is seen as one of Therapy?’s weaker albums. Great tunes and lots of energy = FAWN-TASH-TIC album!!
On another note, am i the only one who seems to be getting a bit bored of Coopers drumming style? Every song seems to have the same kind of beat to it, and whilst thats not always bad and his drumming is technically superb, it does wear thin after a while. Hmm, probably just me.

Just intruiged but which bebo address is yours on that page colin? ?

I was just watching the video for ‘Diane’ on youtube and wondering if anyone knows what’s supposed to be going on? Sorry if I’m being thick or if this has been mentioned before, I just couldn’t quiet get my head round it.
Whenever i see the Diane video it always strikes me that the whole video is supposed to represent a rape. For instance, when Andy cuts the tape at the beggening, he’s breaking into the womans vagina, him thrusting against the bar…well…pretty self-explanitory, the woman being pregnant may represent the fact that andy has entered a place of life (The womb), him holding the woman at the end and rubbing her face could be that he’s killed her, the woman holding Andy could be seen in a way as to him having somewhat died a little inside from his deed. Another big factor that this is all represents rape is the fact that when the camera cuts out of the room, the camera pulls back from between two legs which at the beggening of the video were two mountains.
See what happens when you take Higher English in school :D
P.S. With the end line ‘And it’s over now, with my knifeeeeeee’ i can never decide as to whether it’s supposed to mean he killed her or the posibility he pulled the knife on himself…hmmmm

Re: Therapy song for fallin’ asleep… in General Therapy? Topics
Hmmm, i’ve falled asleep to sister before and woke up 15 minutes later to that feckin’ baby crying on ‘Persue my way unharmed’. Gets me everytime
To be honest, i agree with Andy Gibson SG. Therapy? for me arent so much of a ‘Going to sleep whilst listening to them’ kind of band. Best music to hear before nodding off? Has to be Radiohead’s Kid A. Beautifull *sniff*

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat
Ah so you were there aswell! Ruddy great gig it was. And yes i have to say, MUSE do put on one helluva show. Second time i’ve seen them in three months!
Got near the front (Say about 5 rows from the front at one point) and might i add, why was it that when those balloon things came about did people go mental? My mate accidentaly punched me in the face trying to touch one of the damn things!
