Re: Jägermeister Rock Liga in Therapy? Live
Last time I drank Jagermeister, I ended up cleaning the host out of all his booze and demanded he feed me something alcoholic to keep me happy - he offered me 6 month old passata which had been sitting in his fridge unused. I downed it, using the drunkards logic that it might have fermented and created alcohol. I immediately projectile vomited and woke up 9 hours later with no keys, glasses, phone, mobile or shoes. It was a very Withnail and I moment.
TO keep this vaguely on topic. Free Jagermeister pretty much entitles you to do pretty much whatever you like, and not be held responsible for your actions, suffice to say, I haven’t touched it since, and I suspect the Evil Priest will be very similar.

Re: We need T? in Manchester! in Therapy? Live
To be honest, it’s become very fashionable in recent times for hte touring bands of the world to pick Blackpool (Britain’s premier seaside resort TM) as their preferred destination for a North-West gig venue, and now Riffs is up and running and putting on gigs by the likes of The Wildearts, I think the Therapy? boys will find it hard to resist the donkey and candy floss charms of the English Riviera.
Good news is that the airport train runs all night back to Manchester.

We all got post-hypothermic delerium in the curry house at the bottom of the hill.
Seriously - there were 6 of us sitting there eating chicken balti and pissing ourselves laughing for absolutely no reason at all.

I just found this thread when I was doing a search.
Did anyone else go to this?
Anyone remember how inhumanely cold it was on that cliff?

Re: Newcastle/Gosforth Gathering 05-08-06 in Therapy? Live
Title: Theft
So, I saw the line up for this festival featured Therapy? and Ginger, and I thought “now that sounds like my kind of show!” So I faithfully stumped up my £35 or whatever, then hear nothing. A ticket arrives at my house, and I find out that Ginger has cancelled and then I find out that the whole gig is off.
Now that’s kind of annoying but at least I get my money back yeah? No.
I went to their website, sent away my ticket and asked for a refund. only to find a few days later that tentrock, the promoters have gone into liquidation and aren’t paying out any refunds.
Now stop me if you’ve heard this, but I smell a rat. An unheard of company sets up a festival, takes the money, folds and demands that you send back the tickets for a refund which never emerges? That sounds like a great way to take people’s money without ever intending to put on the show and to leave people without any proof of purchase or even the ticket itself so that there’s precious little that you can do.
Anyone else feel like someones taking a shafting and you’re the one with your pants round your ankles?
Who else got stung by this?

That’s a bit of a rancid arse then isn’t it? Sounds a bit like that lamearse Bristol fest that T? had to pull out of a couple of years back.
Fingers crossed than that it DOES actually go ahead and I get to see T? at least, but by the sounds of it, I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole thing gets pulled.
piffslaps, thats annoying

Motherfucker that was GOOD!
I worked from 7am to 7pm today, jumped in the car, drove at 95 from Blackpool to Leeds, got out in time to catch the whole set and drove back.
Classic set - every song a belter.
Cooper is a god
Other two are OK too, sorry I missed you all - I was the big fat blonde fella at the back with the Get Drunk, Headbang T Shirt and glasses.
They really ought to be selling out venues 4 times that size.

Re: Leeds 29/05/06? in Therapy? Live
I remember about 8 years ago (Christ I’m getting old) I had a traumatic and horrendous A-Level Maths double exam (2 in one sitting) which went bosoms skywards so to cheer myself up I went to see Symposium and A live the next night, smack bang in the middle of my exams and it turned out OK for me.
Oh hang on a minute, same thing as Hooch, that explains an awful lot now.

@Jasmine - I don’t think any more dates will be announced for this tour, it’s all finalised as far as I know. As Gimme said, they’ll be doing more come the Autumn though. Shame you’re not coming to Leeds, the place is gonna be empty apart from me and WP at this rate!!
I’m defo coming to Leeds, the Cockpit bar staff are some old friends of mine and I’m guest listed for it.

Lager?
T-Shirt Update by the way people - it’s loking like a toss up between “Get Drunk Headbang” and “Valor del Corazon” topped off with the ubiquitous Smily Bones hoody for the spring Therapy? gig season.

Yeah Leeds is pretty easy to spot (and is the largest UK city with only 1 mainline railway station)
Manchester gets fucking complicated especially when you mix it with lager

Mr Caffine - You mean the Firkin? Before they stopped the drinking on the streets I used to go in Grand Central and get a bottle of NBA as I left which I’d have on the walk down. The timing was perfect - I always finished the bottle with seconds left to grab my ticket and continue at the same pace through the front doors. Yes, I do need help! :p
No don’t think it’s the firkin - I think it’s called the pheonix or something it’s on the LHS as you walk from the Uni to the station

Eeh back when I were a lad I used to go gigging in Manchester and get the last train back to Leeds, I used to sit in the It’s A Scream pub half way up Oxford Road to while away the extra hours.
Sarah - would love to give you assistance in when to get off the train, but I’m not sure you should take any advice I give you because I’m going back to Blackpool not Leeds and might get you very lost :)
