Re: Tony Blair - A Journey in Chit-Chat

Is the Andrew Marr interview worth watching, Anna? As a skint student I don’t have a telly :( and have to iplayer / 4od everything!

I understand his unpopularity re. the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Is that the biggest reason that people have such a hatred for him or are there other reasons?

Tony Blair - A Journey in Chit-Chat

Anyone else bought / considering about buying this book?
I bought it today as I’m extremely interrested some of the events which happened in the UK and further afield during Blair’s time in office, some of which he (and Bush) instigated.
I’ve only started reading the first chapter, but through reading the introduction, and some of the snippets that have been reported on BBC News, it doesn’t look like he holds back on some of the issues that he faced, such as Gordon Brown and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Some of you may hate him, for various reasons such as the two wars, although I actually quite liked the guy. Very charismatic and I feel that he kept Brown under control until he left. Interresting to read who politically different Tony and his dad were.
