That is a good point. Possibly the case as well.
It is genuinely an odd choice for such a compilation. It is deffo the sort of tune that could turn someone onto the band, so hopefully it will do!
I always find it funny how many compilations there are banging about. I sort of wonder what’s in it for those who put them together… Maybe they do sell well afterall.

I was thinking about OCFA and it’s production when washing my hair this morning as I do every morning (not think about OCFA)…
Thinking about it one year on with an (ahem) unbiased opinion I think I know where the problem lies for some of you guys. I some of you want the rawest of the raw production, what you see as the “NANE” and “Babyteeth” production. Some of you on the otherhand want T? to get cleaner and more mainstream (mainstream isn’t negative here) ala High Anxiety and S-detatched, and trouble gum (maybe).
I think the production of OCFA strangely tries to pamper to both needs and there lies the problem. To do both isn’t easy.
I hope that shed’s some light on the situation.
Oh and before I get any aggro I like OCFA (especially 2 tracks deluded son and walk through darkness… actually they are head and shoulders above the rest imho)… I also love all the other albums I mentioned.

Basically I went to listen to Troublegum tonight and it had GONE, I’m the only one who uses this pc ever and it said I’d “modified the folder” on the 11th julyu this year (my 18th birthday). This is dead creepy as I hadn’t and I hadnt’ listneed to the album for a while and the sames happend with nurse and some bsides. Very weird.
I knew I shouldn’t have taken such an interest in the paranormal lately…
Nah seriously, I find it very odd indeed.
Erm yeah. :/

I think the nurse production is way better, especially in its own right.
OCFA sounds too flat to me, and tracks like deluded son (good song imho) get abused by the production somewhat.

I’m not even a drummer, but absolutely LOVE therapy?’s drum sounds, for example on epilepsy and loose on infernal love are decent.
Then you have a really really good drum sound like on nowhere and “stop it your killing me” on troublegum…
Then the drums are pure perfection on babyteeth.
I’m glad someone else picked up on this in the thread :D
