Re: DEATH ROW in Chit-Chat

If I were at peace with my dying it would be Hypnos69’s Legacy

If that wouldn’t be the case: Troublegum. And whilst listening I’d bang my head against the wall untill I drop dead or unconscious.

Re: What’s EveryOne Listening To in Other Bands & Artists

Hawk Eyes - IDEAS.

Over and over and over and over again. This should get a lot of appeal amongst T? fans, it’s intelligent, loud and not devoid of catchiness.

They were supposed to open up for them in Leeds but pulled out. That’s good, I would’ve died with miserable envy in my home that night. T?, Skindred, Hawk Eyes pretty much the best bill possible with British bands I think.

Re: 03.04.12 Therapy? @ AB in Therapy? Live

oh yeah, the annotations on the set list are mine and in my slightly drunken haze I put Teenage Kicks up front of Nowhere which is wrong. they let it segue into Screamager of course which by the way was a fan-fucking-tastic T? moment.

I snatched the sound man’s set list after the gig.

I was also a bit disappointed by the start of the gig. Ghost Trio is my fave track of the new album and it sounded lame. Ecclesiastes was pure magic though and Living In The Shadow went down very well, that’s not gonna fall by the wayside soon I think. Anyway, another great night out with the lads.

Re: Masters@rock in Therapy? Live

yeah I only noticed the ‘crowdsurfing forbidden’ sign after the last gig, so I guess that was really only a pro forma prohibition. A really big Westvlaamse farmer’s daughter landed on my and my sisters heads. It seemed like it was her, and other girls, easiest way to get in the dry zone when the clouds bursted above Torhout.

Re: new album 2011 in General Therapy? Topics

yesterday they said early 2012 and also played two new songs. ‘Living In the Shadow of a terrible thing’ and the other I didn’t catch the name of. Both sounded like worthy Therapy? live set additions

Re: What’s EveryOne Listening To in Other Bands & Artists

right now, and for the best part of the week I’ll be either listening to http://grooveshark.com/playlist/Masters+rock/59296672 a playlist with a buch of randomly picked tracks by bands attending the Masters@rock fest. Also I’ll be shutting myself off the world and enjoy my recently purchased Primordial - Redemption at the puritan’s hand double white vinyl.

Re: Death Race 2011 in Chit-Chat

Ha, 13 points at once, appropriate to start a race like this.

You have no idea how much people in Flanders are willing to crucify me for capitalizing on this woman’s demise.

Anyway, people should seperate races and politics. I suck at one, and it’s not races ;-)

Well, I have my first points Marie-Rose Morel lost her battel with cancer last week: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie-Rose_Morel

Just picked up the news that Mubarak didn’t so much resign but actually slipped into a coma… Hopes up for more quick scores.

Re: Melkweg Amsterdam 16th november in Therapy? Live

about the play list: they also snug in some Gloria before the scorching finale of potato junkie & teethgrinder. The rest was unchanged, I think.

Re: Melkweg Amsterdam 16th november in Therapy? Live

Never sung along so much at a gig. This was awesome, too bad the sound levels weren’t all that great on the balcony. Didn’t stop me from dancing though. Must say that the Amsterdam audience is much more civilized and quiet than an average Belgian crowd. Only one stage diver, modest moshpits and I was the only one without a shirt. Great atmosphere all together and a band on fire. Twenty years on and definitely still going strong.

One remark though, Andy please, nverver wear those pants again that probably fitted well twenty years ago…

totally agreed. the other songs of CT sounded really awesome as well. Really hope Crooked timber won’t fall of the setlist, like so many other great songs of their “latter era”

Therapy? remix album in General Therapy? Topics

This was posted recently on the BongRa website:

“Bong-Ra to remix Therapy?
Yep, will be remixing the 90s screamo band Therapy? for a remix compilation they are to release next year.”

Screamo??????

Anyway BongRa is a pretty rad Dutch DnB, Jungle, Breakcore, Rave whatnot producer.

Does anyone know more of this? Will there be only new remixes or is it going to be part compilation as well?

Suggestions maybe for other remix artists?

cheers

Re: most rock’n’roll womble in Chit-Chat

it sounds almost like you find out your youth was just a waste of time. that’s a bit worrysome to me. I mean Idon’t want to be 18 again but it was a good time in it’s own right. that feeling is unique, being the oldest and most respected guys at school, getting to talk back to your parents, starting to have some skill with the booze and the broads and still be unaware of any responsability the real life is going to bring. how can you be unsatisfied with that?

Re: T? in Belgium 07/05/’09 in Therapy? Live

agreed it wasn’t very loud. But I liked it, my ears have been properly damaged by All the loud music over the past fifteen years and most gigs I just can’t stand it to be upfront anymore. Thursday was different, and only right so

check my review of the gig at: http://digg.be/gigs.php?id=55

cheers

Re: Kyuss or Queens Of The Stone Age in Other Bands & Artists

I’d pick Kyuss. especially blues for the red sun always hammers with a heavy impact on my sanity. I must ad that QOTSA ar by far the best radio-rock band these days and they have been since day one. Did anybody ever take a shot at Hermano? They’ve also got some good stuff.

Re: Worst Live Bands in Other Bands & Artists

I recall leaving two gigs because I found them boring:

Admiral Freebee and Cult of Luna

This doesn’t imply they’re the worst livebands ever but I tend to leave bad gigs much earlier and forget about it.

damn good taste you have. I might see VSnares and Autechre this weekend on the Dour festival. I might not as well. There’s about 200 acts to check out. Some of my fave dancemusic includes: Sickboy, BongRa, Enduser, Asian Dub Foundation and if I’m horny Basement Jaxx or Buscemi
