Re: T? tattoo in General Therapy? Topics
without reading any of the comments: I have one. do it. it was my first and I wear it with pride. (better so it won’t rub off)
People will refer to it as “the traffic sign” though.
tell me if you see the connection…

k-hole might refer to Ketamine: a horse tranq that some people use as party drugs. If your high on ketamine you’r in a k-hole. That’s how I interpreted it.

Re: Exclusive Therapy? webgig now available in General Therapy? Topics
Title: T? fans without paypal or credit cards
Paypal being the lousy anglo american system it is won’t allow me to use their services with my Belgian bank check account. Or maybe I’m a cunt and don’t klnow which buttons to push. I won’t be able to get a credit card soon cause I don’t have a steady income and a huge tat on my forehead that reads “never pays you back”
But how do I get this webgig thingy. I’m all too excited to be able to get as excited as the others about its supreme quality.

Re: Your Idea Therapy? collaboration in General Therapy? Topics
of lateley i’ve been digging into this mashup/breakcore scene. It would be coool to hear Sickboy or Bong-ra or Hypnoskull going fingerloose at some classic T? tunes. Definitely the early stuff from the ep’s and Nurse would go down easily in a ruff breakcore/mashupjungle stylee.
Otherwise the Melvins!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Nick Cave

maybe next time we should first poll the wombles and agree on 1 track and all vote for that. Bet hedging doesn’t really hold up for this list.

Here it is again vote for the lads. Studio Brussel’s annual Timeless Top 100 list. Don’t bother about the quiz questions or you might win my prizes, and we don’t want that do we?
Please do vote because the only T? track left in the list is Diane and it’s star has been seriously waning over the last few editions, and we don’t want that do we?

Re: Shameless Europop??? in General Therapy? Topics
My wary old Infernal Love tourshirt also has a spelling mistake on it (probably all of them have) it says Tourhout instead of Torhout. It’s a place in Belgium where they used to hold a festival. I think it’s a funny mistake though since it is a tourshirt.

must say that the quality of T? shirts was the direct reason for me getting a Gemil inked in my shoulder. (or was it because they’re such a great band)

I’m a visionary I know
But frankly, so many of their lyrics seem to be written with somebode like me in mind (impossible I know but I think you have the idea)

It’s quote from a writer (forgot wich one, I think Wilde). Andy nicked it just as the Fall out Fags.

Re: Average Crowd Now in General Therapy? Topics
I think it might have been around 500 in the AB (BXL, Belgium that is for the uninitiated) but that was 500 noisy sweaty and loud fuckers so even if the place was hardly half full it was an awesome gig. But there might’ve been more or less, I was in front quasi all the time so didn’t really get an accurate impression

Re: Help Spread The Word in General Therapy? Topics
I received posters today, no flyers but a rain hits concrete promo, not bad either ;-) Andy does sing kiss my axis or acces or something like that. Lame. But allright if it sells one extra OCFA copy.
Tomorrow after work I’ll be trying to get some up in recordstores here in Gent and maybe a rockbar or so, maybe also the Jesu gig.
The posters look pretty rad from a distance.

Re: Shameless - whats wrong with it?!? in General Therapy? Topics
I heard them play I am the Money on the NANE tour. So they do play at least one song live of shameless.
I liked it a lot when it came out, it sounds very different from every other T?-album and has some experiments on it that are unlikely to appear ever again. Some songs are just fantastic: Wicked Man, Dance, This one’s for you, Theme From Delorean, Endless Psychology, Gimme Back My Brain & Joey (well these are interchangeable with many of their other faster punky songs but they’re on par with those)
Bodybag Girl and Alrite are probably their worst songs though. All in All it’s a mixed bag.
For me Semi-Detached is their low point and NANE is fabulous.

Re: OCFA what do you think? in General Therapy? Topics
I’ve got since friday. And I’m really cross with all you lot who’ve had it before: How come nobody has mentoned Hart Beat Hits and Private nobody as being the winners on OCFA, and if not the winners those are the two that I like most in this early stage. Together with Fear of God, Sprung, Rain Hits Concrete.
Overall I think it’s a booty shakin big riffs (stadium) rock ‘n roller of an album. Festivalcrowds will go kray.zee all over Europe this summer if the T? madness strikes their mellow emo-core asses.

Re: Barging Into The Presence Of God in General Therapy? Topics
for me it’s often: “I would kill for a good night’s sleep, I’m feeling, I’m feeling dead”
It tends to come along haunting me at times when it’s suitable.
Also the complete chorusses from “Stop it you’re killing me” or “hey satan you rock”.
Potato junkie also, especiallY the first line: “How can I remember 1690? I was born in 1965”
From Loose: “let my try on your dress, it turns me one when we’re a mess”

Re: Worst Song in General Therapy? Topics
When six miles water plays I’m always wondering why they had to drag it so much, I like it but it’s way too long. Deep Sleep and Hypermania aren’t my favourites either. Other than that there’s not much that really bothers me, besides the obvious Diane I always skip that luckily it’s not a real T? song by all regards

Re: T? Lyrics in General Therapy? Topics
I think maybe ‘wall of mouths’ and ‘ten year plan’ have some hardly hidden allusions on the industry as well, definitely if you take a look at the context, after losing their record deal and all that. The whole record has this angry ‘I’m fed up with your hypocrisy’ attitude. It’s my fave (with NANE) t? record.
