Re: check out pagan riot there awesome in Other Bands & Artists
I’d say that Pagan Riot is like a nice cup of tea. It’s familiar and not too fancy. None of that Redbush or Camomile stuff. But it’s not a super-strong espresso. Nor is it a kick-arse cappucino. It’s definitely not a Jager-bomb. It’s just a nice cuppa with a sprinkling of sugar. It needs a jammy dodger to go with it though. A cup of tea is not a cup of tea without a jammy dodger.

Bloody hell—-They Might Be Giants…now that IS a blast from the past…

Cheers for that mate but check the dates on the post. That was nearly 8 years ago *fuck me I’ve been on this forum too long*
As the mighty Holly in Red Dwarf once said “I may not be fast, but I get there in the end”. Fuck me.
Anyway, back on topic. I’m listening to the album. It’s not bad. A little nod to Sweet and a little nod to the Ramones amongst others…

Re: Terrorvision in Other Bands & Artists
the lyrics ‘party over here f**k you over there’ are from a song that I think is called Friends and Family on Good to Go album.

Re: RIP Gary Moore… in Other Bands & Artists
I really regret never seeing him live. Was always skint or busy when he came near to me but I always thought I’d be able to at some point!
Thin LIzzy’s January gig in Manchester focussed a lot on paying tribute to Phil so I would imagine they’d do something for Gary as well in Belfast.

Re: The Wildhearts in Other Bands & Artists
Have just realised it’s taken over a year between posts on this thread.
I think Mr Ginger should take that as a very big hint.

That should be
“Can we include Status Quo?”
Tsk! Bad punctuation there.

OK, I’ll let you have Ozzy.
Can we include Status Quo.

Do I hear a call for an imaginary festival with these bands?
And where would it take place?

Re: The Worst Band Of All Time in Other Bands & Artists
Crazy Town have gotten me through some tough times, man. I won’t hear a bad word against them. In fact, I am going to compaign to get Crazy Town to headline Download next year. I am also going to Rick Roll this video to everyone

Finally, as an English graduate, I personally feel that Byron will be shaking in his ghostly boots at the following lyrical choices:
Hey sugar momma, come and dance with me
The smartest thing you ever did was take a chance with me
Whatever tickles your fancy
Girl it’s you like Sid and Nancy
So sexy…almost evil Talkin’ about butterflies in my head
I used to think happy endings were only in the books I read but
you made me feel alive when I was almost dead
See what I mean? Beautiful words (wipes tear).
(Irony is so hard to do in writing…)

Re: Bush in Other Bands & Artists
I’m quite excited! I’ve seen them live. I think it was at Reading in 97. Not a major fan at the time but they’re one of those bands you come back to years later and think that it really captured the 90s! Roll on student-day-nostalgia!!!!!!
