Re: BBC Sessions - music through a cheap transistor in General Therapy? Topics

Just downloaded ‘em, my first pay-to-download album actually. I’m not liking this DRM shite one bit - will have to try the CD trick to get the tracks on my mp3 player.

The songs though - fucking great!

Its a great album closer like Last One to Heaven is a Loser was on NANE. The track has a Husker Du feel to it…hang on, I think I’ve said this on another thread.

Yeah, I spotted that too - as a big Bob Mould fan, it makes me grin like an idiot every time! Great song, I love how it slows down at the end into an anthemic kind of finale, a great way to close the album.

Re: OCFA what do you think? in General Therapy? Topics

The CD arrived yesterday - hats off to Fading Ways for getting it sent to Oz than less than a week!

Loving the shit out of it, basically - I haven’t gotten into all the songs yet (So far Unconsoled, Lose It All and Private Nobody are eluding me a little. They’re great songs though, and I suspect they’ll sneak up on me and slap me for doubting them sometime in the next few days). Highlights for me after a day and a half are Sprung, Deluded Son (What a friggin’ chorus!), DSA & Walk Through Darkness.

Seriously, the whole album is class, to my ears the melody of HA meeting NANE’s heaviness. Between this and the new Tool I forecast a weekend of ROCK!

oh yeah, they should definitely use it somewhere else. Its not a bad album title actually…

They recycled it for ‘Hard Work and Hope’: “I sold my soul and now I miss it/It’s on my Armageddon checklist”

You’re right, very cool phrase though!
