Ok, after reading this I went cross eyed. I’m 14 years old, try explaining it in a way that I can understand. :)

Get some beer, go to someone’s house whose parents are out for the night, hold said beer, impress girls with your beer holding technique, and they will be yours.

Re: PIck-up lines. in Chit-Chat

Social circles!

When I was a younger I have vague recollections of awesome house parties on Fiday nights, where someone invited a boy, who brought other boys, and it would be awkward until 4 bottles of bacardi breezers were consumed and someone would kiss someone else, and then someone else would pass out in the bath. And then you’d go over to the person you kissed’s house, or meet them in town and go for an 80p coffee with free refills.

Now I seem to move cities every bloody year and everyone has crap social circles, which were formed the prior week; and the boys seem to be even more useless and inept. Then you smile at someone drunkenly in a club, and can’t shake them for weeks; or meet someone nice and never hear from or see them again. Hmph.

It’s certainly the most accessible Metallica album.

Re: PIck-up lines. in Chit-Chat

My only advice to you is avoid meeting people in public for as long as possible. Most of the end up to be nutjobs.

I don’t really know any pick up lines either. Although, admittedly, I do need them!

Nooo you don’t, they’re unnecessary and silly. And don’t work.

Re: What’s favourite movie everyone? in Chit-Chat

It is indeed, but they’re quite different.

RFAD has similar cinematography; although in colour; lots of speeding up/slowing down/zooming in and the like. It’s a lot easier to follow (Pi’s can be a complete mindfuck), and it doesn’t feel as claustrophobic as Pi - it branches out a bit more, follows a much more logical structure..

Oh, and can I add a “Big Lebowski” to my favourite film list please, Bob. Not sure how I missed that one out…

Just got Requiem for A Dream today through the post off mrselfdestruct… so will be watching that tomorrow. He says its shit though!

It can be a bit pretentious and seem a wee bit overly artsy, but it’s a very good story; it’s pretty shocking (and has boobs in it).

Give it a go with an open mind :)

Pi, Requiem for a Dream or City of God.

Re: Newcastle/Gosforth Gathering 05-08-06 in Therapy? Live

Fantastic line up… and cheap for a festival these days.

Although some of the information on the webpage is a little dubious:
“Never start or participate in dangerous activities, such as conga lines and Mexican waves.”

If babies dont know any language, what do they think in their minds, I mean what language do they think with in their minds?

Ah, so language shapes thoughts?

Or do thoughts shape language?

There are some nutjobs who propose that language is the means to our thoughts, so thoughts develop through language. But babies thought processes are innate (e.g. sucking reflex is an innate reaction to having something nipple shaped in their mouth). I suspect their neuroanatomy and connections between lobes and hemispheres are not fully developed enough to ‘think’ as such, i.e. they’re not sitting there thinking “I want me some nipple”

Re: PIck-up lines. in Chit-Chat

I feel so victimised.

But on the other hand I’m getting quite a bit of attention, as misguided as it is…

you’re right, theres still so much mileage in this!

Aren’t you even a little ashamed that so many folk have seen your ass? What must your parents think?

Actually my parents paid for me to have a new ass for my 18th birthday, and we’re all proud of my current ass.

What’s an ass if you can’t show it off eh? Especially to strangers on the internet!

Actually, do you reckon I should charge people to see my ass?

In the summer I sometimes charge people to ride my ass. It’s quite profitable…

This isn’t funny but it is.

I would never have guessed from your myspace picture that your ass would look like that! :)

But why not? I know my ass is big, but it works hard and can carry a great load, it’s been a worthy companion and when the boys love it when I show them my ass.

Re: PIck-up lines. in Chit-Chat

Oh god, 8 posts in and I seem to be in trouble again…

I’m quite upset that only 11 people have had a good look at my ass.

That is seriously not going to get old for a while…

So, Hanne, baby, DO you come here often? :D

Nice arse by the way.

But how do you know if you’ve never seen it?

Because I’m nice I’ve attached a picture of my ass stuck up in the air…

(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this post had a file attachment, which may return in the future)

Re: PIck-up lines. in Chit-Chat

I got one the other day

“You have an amazing arse”…

Umm…

And the usual “Do you come here often?/Do you ever go to x?”

I’ve never heard any properly cheesy ones.

I’ve been known (just for mates mind) to do the horrible “Excuse me, do you do some random business course? My friend thinks she recognises you…” Gets them talking anyhow!

Re: Femtex 7” in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

I got it for about £8 on ebay over a year ago. One of my more expensive investments, but so worth it.

Re: Therapy? - A Love Interest in General Therapy? Topics

The ex Mr Hanne starting listening to them, but his music changes with his girlfriends (now he’s into McFly and Busted and all that tosh)

The first gig we went to was the Wildhearts and T?, he bounced his head and bought a My Voodoo Doll single. He was never really into them, but smiled and nodded with me.

I can’t think of one ex or potential who has really appreciated T? to even a small degree, which is a shame…

Yeah, I thought there was a small one in the Bull Ring, but it’s way too small for T? to play in…isn’t it?!

OK then, it’s opposite where Virgin megastore USED to be :D

Are you a brummy then, Hanne?

*gets ready for Black Country vs Brummy warfare*

How dare you! I am no such thing

I lived in Nottingham and moved to Bham for university :)

Black Country? My deepest sympathies.

Re: Birmingham acoustic/signing in Therapy? Live

I will be there :) I live a couple of minutes walk away as well…

The Virgin Megastore has closed down! Music Zone is opposite the big Argos with the market in front of it…

If anyone’s getting there from the Bullring, go outside near the bull statue, turn right going past the Pavillion shopping centre, when you get to the big Boots (and there’s a few dodgy clothes shops) turn round the corner on the left and Music Zone is a couple of shops up on the left.

At least I presume it’s that one, the only other one I know if is tiny (one in the Bullring)

Hope that’s of any help to someone…

Not witty enough for a good subject title… in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

Title: Not witty enough for a good subject title…

Sorry!

I’m Hannah, been knocking around these parts a while but decided to start using this thing, and then forgot my password… So here’s my 2nd attempt.

Anyway, I live in Birmingham city centre, and have been into T? for about 8 years now, (I’m 19 now). The first time I went to the infamous Rock City was the see the lads about 7 years ago. Rock City was later the scene of attempting to buy Andy beer, random acts of kindness towards bouncers leading to being sent away with T? plectrums and setlists, and one particularly bad occasion of dancing to Screamager on my own (literally no one on dancefloor) one night.

Typical obsessive collector and perve of all records, random memorabilia and proud owner of one questionmark heart tattoo.

Like all the cool kids, my myspace is http://www.myspace.com/hanne where you can be amazed by my shiny red hair. (And look out for me at the Brum T? things on Saturday, if you so wish)

Now, can I treat anyone to a bourbon?
