It’s my bloke’s daughter’s birthday today too, she’s 18. All her life ahead of her and everything to play for, so to speak. Still, you probably have lots of lovely memories, don’t you? :)

The sky isn’t blue it’s black. it appears blue because the blue light gets scattered about when it bounces off crap in the atmosphere, yellow light is a bit less erratic and doesn’t scatter so much which is why the sky looks blue but the sun looks yellow. Don’t they teach you anything in school these days?

Well I’m off over t’hills to where the heathens live. I’ll be travelling through Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnnleh so I hope they don’t get a new guard when we get there. If s/he has a local accent I will be trying to get off the train in Blackburn before s/he has got to the end of the sentence.
