Everyone knows that song, but only Marja is a drunken karaoke diva :)
We don’t care about spelling on here, but we do like to see a stiff upper lip - and if you start doing all that weird “analyse yourself to death in 12 simple payment methods” stuff then we will give you a jolly good thrashing!

Ooh Beeston eh? I worked in Beeston for a couple of years.

Hello Ruth :) I’m Hooch’s mum, for my sins. It would seem that in a previous life I was a serial killer or a politician or something :(

I had it down as a kind of mildly irritated speechlessness :) It is very cute though.
RENE!!!!!!! Can you make Dennis mad, please? :)

Welcome to the WoM Mike :)
What’s with the Americanisms Dennis dude? .. You can welcome people to the WoM without sucking up to them and weirding them out :p
Damn you Gav! I was going to say “and is that your daddy in the front” too :D
@Teethgrinder - I told you you needed a fixed thread for new members so they would find it more easily. Didn’t I didn’t I? And you remember what happened last time you ignored me, don’t you? Yes. Exactly.

You’ve frightened him now!
Luckily he sent me a private message instead, so he doesn’t have to read all your nonsense :o
Now give me all those £2.80s you’ve been taking off people. I’ll donate it to the ‘encourage a newbie fund’, which, coincidentally, I keep in the same jar as my booze and fags fund …

Borutrampet in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
Hello Borutrampet! I just thought i would say hello, because you have been a member for quite a while and you log in quite often, but have only posted twice. You don’t have to post, of course - but if you are just a bit shy then why not make the leap and tell us a bit about yourself? :)
If you don’t want to say hello then I’m sorry if I embarrassed you and I promise not to do it again! :)

lol@mum, I might make you an update with their ‘gentler’ material. I bet you’d really like Long Distance, for example.
Maybe so. But actually I haven’t heard you play anything I don’t like by T? except for ‘knives’ which I think is a godawful and entirely inexplicable cacophony of horror.

Re: First Post (Hello and which album to get next) in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
lol :D
Tis true. In fact, I listen to the accoustic stuff quite a lot, but that’s it really. Sometimes i just put ‘misery’ on repeat for a few days until I feel a bit better :)

Welcome to the WoM :) I’d copy you some of my compilation CDs but they get a bit funny about that round here …

You’ve drunk all my serum!!! I knew your greed would be your downfall!!
Well you will have to put everything back to rights. What are you going to do to encourage newbies to sign up to the WoM and become frequent posters?

Re: hi in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
Which of course they will be able to, because I have invented a speech restoring truth serum! :)

Well when the newbies turn up we shall see what they have to say, won’t we? If they can still speak after their traumas.

For F**ks sake d - how many times!! It’s in the bl**dy guidelines! “Do not take newbies into your room, and for f**ks sake don’t experiment on them” [The Boy Scouts v WoM - 2002]

Re: hi in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
No it’s not bullshit - that’s very expensive. It’s an artificial scent that just happens to smell like shit.
I don’t know - I hope not. There were loads of newbies over the last couple of months and I’m not sure any of them have posted.

Re: hi in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
That’s disgusting. Brocolli is far too delicious to be put in a sandwich. You should put it on top of a vol-au-vent instead. Very tasty and it also makes you appear sopisticated.

I accidentally ended up on czechsincheckscheckcheques. It was very boring, all about finance in Eastern European restaurants
I will check out checkczechscheckckeckinchequesmate.com when he checks in, after I check if czechs check in on checkoutczechs.com :)

I’m not sure about that. He seems a bit paranoid and he’s started taking his gun to the toilet with him and looking over his shoulder all the time. Maybe I should send him back to America, he’d fit in really well there …
