Rene, can you do something with the private messages so that you can refer back to what you have actually sent as well as what you have received? It’s really weird to just have a list of received messages and not to be able to remember what you said yourself!

Rene I think you should put the birthdays back where they were. No-one is going to remember to go and look every day to see if it someone’s birthday …

Rene - I’m concerned that we don’t know when any new members have joined, and so we might not be welcoming them like we used to. Maybe you could put another thread up that never moves, just for new members to say hello? It needn’t be a whole forum - just an unmoveable thread at the top so that new people can see a place to introduce themselves and everyone else can say hello if they want to.

Also when you open a thread and it tells you how many people have posted on it, it would be interesting to be able to click on the text and see a list of all the people who have been counted. I admit that’s only because I’d like to know who has posted on Gracious Me over the years, but other people might be interested with their own threads …

It is good to be able to see who likes the same things as you do, but as the only WoMble to recognise that Case Histories is the greatest book ever written is someone with only 29 posts to their name since 2001 (and who I’ve have never heard of) it’s not proving as fun as it should be.

Being able to email WoMbles was useful - are we going to get that facility back or are we stuck now with the WoMbles we’re already in contact with? *sacrifices a goat to ensure that this dreadful scenario never becomes a reality*

I love it now - it’s so much easier and quicker to browse the threads, and as I never looked outside chit chat apart from the occasional dip into other bands and artists I have discovered heaps more bollocks than I dreamed was possible! :p

You should lose the yellow on the ‘sign in’ bar thingy, though. It’s a foul colour and it doesn’t go with the green at all. How about a nice terracotta? I know loads of men are colour blind, but there are lots of female WoMbles with exquisite taste and you should try and make the site as pretty as possible to encourage more females to sign up :)

But now it does actually find the phrase you are looking for. The old one didn’t work at all half the time. You could even copy and paste some text from the post directly into the search box and it still couldn’t find it!!

Thank you Rene, I can see perfectly well that it isn’t the same without me. For one thing it’s all gone black and white. When I first got back I thought I must have turned into a dog :mad:

So are these new changes going to bugger up all of the things I’ve just got used to? Honestly :rolleyes: Someone isn’t likely to get a visit from Santa this year :p
