Re: smoking in Chit-Chat

I quit over seven years ago, when I had been smoking for three or four years. Can’t even stand the smell anymore. :)

Re: Pets in Chit-Chat

I’ve got a white cat named Mindy and some Zebra Finches and Chinese Quails in an aviary outside.

Re: Editors in Other Bands & Artists

So, you don’t like them, big deal. I won’t be losing any sleep on that. ;)

Re: groningen in Therapy? Live

Thanks for sharing these pictures. :)

@soul doubt: you were indeed standing right next to me, I remember you taking that picture of Michael. I think I also ruined one of your pictures by raising my hand right when you were about to take one. My apologies. ;)

Re: Editors in Other Bands & Artists

*bump*

Editors were my fave new band of 2005, seen them live 8 times and own all releases. Will see them again twice in June. So one could say I am a fan. :D

Re: What was the first and/or last song you heard by therapy?? in General Therapy? Topics

First song I heard was ‘Teethgrinder’, but the first that really got me was ‘Nowhere’.
Last song I heard was ‘Femtex’ last night, while playing along to Troublegum on my guitar. No wait, actually it was ‘Sprung’. :D

Re: Andy’s guitars in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

I see, thanks. I just noticed it is given mention in the links section and in an old diary entry too (and earlier in this thread as well, oops). That guitar looks stunning. :D

Re: sg owners unite! in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

I’ve got a Gibson SG, cherry red, ‘93 I think. Seeing Andy playing an SG and listening to the Troublegum album made me what one and finally in 1996 I could afford a secondhand one. Boy, I was one proud 18-year-old I can tell you. :D

Re: Andy’s guitars in Musicians (Gear, Tabs & Lyrics)

At the gig in Groningen I saw Andy playing a black SG in a couple of songs, and it was definately NOT a Gibson. It looked like it was custom made, with question marks inlays in the fingerboard if I remember correctly. It had the name on the head of the guitar, but I forgot what it was. Does anyone know which brand it is?

Shouldn’t that be ‘It’s all that you know’… otherwise my cover version is wrong :(

Correct, it says so in the booklet and in the discography section. I always sang it that way as well. ;)

They played bits of “Nowhere Man” by The Beatles.

They did a bit before ‘Nowhere’ last night, but I reckon that they usually do? I hadn’t seen T? in nearly six years before last night, so I have no idea.

Re: Where were you…? in General Therapy? Topics

I remember seeing the Teethgrinder video on MTV 120 Minutes (I think), but then I forgot about them (yeah, I know…) until I first heard Nowhere and I was like, hey, that is the same band! The next day I read an article about them in a music mag, which also reviewed the album and I went out to buy it as soon as possible.

Oh, and i think they didn’t play Lose it all and Isolation if i’m correct…

Correct, I stood right in front of Andy so I could take a peek at the setlist every now and then. Was a bit disappointed they started the encore with Diane, hence skipping Lose It All and Isolation. Oh well… They were on top form though. And the crowd at the front went pretty crazy, shouting the words back at the band. “Fan-f*cking-tastic Groningen”, Michael replied. :)
By the way, is it common they have a break in Potato Junkie and play a bit of Femtex in the middle? Because that was just awesome.
I was glad I was able to stay the whole gig, cause I had to catch my train. They finished just in time, haha, but still I had to make a run for it. It was well worth it though.

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat

My last gig was probably The Veils last month. Stunning. Sadly the Radiohead gig in the HMH I was supposed to go to got rescheduled (to August) at the last minute, otherwise that would have been the last one.

Hello there, Nautilus calling in New Members (Introduce Yourself)

Title: Hello there, Nautilus calling

Just though I should say hi as I just signed up. I’m a 28-year-old guy from the Netherlands.
I became a T? fan when I first heard ‘Nowhere’, bought all their albums and saw the band live 3 times (‘96/’98/’00), as far as I can remember. Sadly I lost track of the band a couple of years ago, but I’m catching up fast again. In fact, I’m gonna see T? in the Oosterpoort in Groningen tonight. I can’t wait! :D
