Re: When Good Bands Do Bad Things in Chit-Chat

LunacyBooth wrote:

Just my opinion but I’d have to say Therapy? and OCFA. Didn’t like it much at first and it sounds worse everytime I listen to it.

I thought that I was the only one who didn’t liked it at all. Well, seems that I wasn’t. :-p
Hopefully the new album restores my faith in them…

Re: SPYF four songs sample promocassette 186 801 1AV 4 in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

I don’t know if I won… I guess that that offer has been closed ages ago.

Amorphis was great, as usual. They played some songs they haven’t done with Tomi J. on vocals. To my knowledge they played “Better Unborn” for the first time with him at Tavastia. They also played The Orphan and Black Winter Day which they don’t play usually in Finland. Also Day Of Your Beliefs and Divinity was brought back to setlist. In Jyväskylä (we weren’t there ;o)) they played “Vulgar negrolatry”! There is clip of it in youtube.

I have to admit that I forgot to drink Jaloviina this weekend. We were on United Underworld’s gig at friday and guess who was the driver? Saturday I had some beer and redwine and totally forgot to drink the drink of Gods… ;o) Maybe I’m getting too old if I “forgot” to drink booze… Heh!

I have that too, so can’t be rare, as there is 2 of those in Finland… ;o)
Mine is/was opened when I got it but I haven’t played it either.

Re: Jägermeister Rock Liga in Therapy? Live

It makes me so sad to read peoples stories about Micheal being too drunk at gig…

He was the last person who I though to act like a fool. It’s great to read apology by him, but that doesn’t make it any better. What if someone travelled many miles and all they saw was some drunken musician trying to stay in upright position. I think it’s pathetic and disgraceful and not the way a real “rockstar” should act… I would call that underrating of fans.

Re: T? hoodies in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

I have 2. One from the High Anxiety-tour and other I don’t remember. Unfortunately they aren’t zipped ones so I don’t wear them much (never has). eBay is starting to sound tempting…

Obviously you are going to be there? Singing this time, maybe? ;o)
Do you know who is playing bass? Somehow I don’t see that Matti will be part of that.

Re: Joshua Tree Reissue in Other Bands & Artists

I will definately get it. Even thought Rattle & Hum was “the” album to me. I think that these king of reissues are good. I hate the ones with just 2 or 3 extra tracks. They are rip-off’s, but these kind are much greater value. Here’s the stuff about it from billboard.com

U2’s ‘Joshua Tree’ Blooms Again
U2

October 16, 2007, 10:30 AM ET

Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.
To celebrate the 20th birthday of its landmark album “The Joshua Tree,” U2 is reissuing the set in four different incarnations on Nov. 20 via UMe. The album will be available as a remastered single CD, a 2-CD set, a 2-CD/1-DVD collectible box and a double-vinyl package.

The single-disc will be housed in a jewel case, but the 2-CD set comes in a hard back case. The 2-CD/1-DVD version has a base and lid to accommodate the discs as well as five portfolio prints. Band members have contributed new liner notes for the package.

The second CD in the 2-disc package sports rare material from the period, including a single edit of “Where the Streets Have No Name” and B-sides such as “Spanish Eyes” and “Sweetest Thing.” The DVD comprises a July 4, 1987, show at the Paris Hippodrome, as well as the documentary “Outside It’s America,” a long-whispered-about but never released video for “Red Hill Mining Town” and an alternate version of the “With or Without You” clip.

Produced by Brian Eno, “The Joshua Tree” shot U2’s commercial fortunes into the stratosphere. The album’s first three tracks were huge singles, with both “With or Without You” and “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Here is the bonus disc track list:

“Luminous Times (Hold On To Love)”
“Walk to the Water”
“Spanish Eyes”
“Silver and Gold”
“Sweetest Thing”
“Deep on the Heart”
“Race Against Time”
“Where the Streets Have No Name” (single edit)
“Silver and Gold (Sun City)”
“Beautiful Ghost”
“Introduction to Songs of Experience”
“Wave of Sorrow (Birdland)”
“Desert of Our Love”
“Rise Up”
“Drunk Chicken”
“America”

Re: Who is your favourite guitarist and the greatest guitarist of all time? in Other Bands & Artists

Malcolm Young. His sound is so unique and ass kicking. Way too underated guitarist.

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat

I went yesterday to Nightwish’s record release-party at Tavastia, there was supposed to play an estonian Nightwish-cover band called “Natuvissyset” but it turned out they were the real Nightwish! (Ok, I knew that before ;o)) They played an kick ass gig. Their new material, which they played plenty, sounds great and the new lady sings like an engel even though she’s not sounding like Tarja (which I think is only a good thing). It was great to see so many smiling faces in the crowd as well in the stage. If you are in Hamburg area tomorrow, go see a band called “Sushi Patrol” in Delphi Club. You will be surprised… ;o)

I don’t like it. I think that the old Wall Of Mouths looked like more professional than this. Especial I hate those avatars. Sorry!

Re: Worst Therapy Album in General Therapy? Topics

Definately “One Cure Fits All”. That is absolutely the shittiest album the band has ever made. No question about it. The production on that is so poor and the lack of enthusiasm and extremely poor songs, that this album blew the 13 years of my life away. Why the hell a band that produces such a gem called (and their best album so far) “Never Apologise, Never Explain”, can do a poor album like it is.

Yes, I’m bitter, I’m twisted but James Joyce isn’t fucking my sister.

Re: itunes only Therapy? song in General Therapy? Topics

Don’t excatly have words for this kind of behaviour from the band/recordlabel/itunes but have to say that I’m EXTREMELY dissapointing for anyone whos responsible for making Therapy? track only downloadable itunes UK…

I took this personally and as I haven’t download the 2 latest “singles” and haven’t bought OCFA, now I think that I never will. If the band/recordlabel/whoever acts like this and makes all the fans to stand in the different positions by releasing “this and that-region only track”, then they don’t need my support as I sure hell don’t need band who does that kind of decisions.

I have bought all the stuff since 1993 immidiately after the release and now you tell me that I can’t… I tried to support my (former, obviously) favourite band in anyway I could but this is enough for me.

Thanks for all the great years Therapy?, now it is time for me to move on to other section in the recordstores. Therapy?’s has been seen…

Thanks for all of you bearing with me all these years. I have made many great friends because of the band, I love you all!

Yours, MarkoJii

Is this somekinda “late april 1st joke” Marko? I KNOW you´re never going to sell your collection, or maby I´m wrong about that..? I guess you don´t have to do a “Stevenson kinda thing” to get your bathroom done or something like that:)And you know what I´m talkin´about:)

Unfortunately it is not joke and when the time comes to selling my collection, I will. However now ain’t the time and hopefully never will but you’ll never know…

Besides if the band just keeps releasing download singles only our collections ain’t worth a shit. We just got some crappy and shit sounding mp3’s on our computers. I understand that the band ain’t got money to release singles on their own and obviously they got shitty recordcompany (again) who doesn’t seem to support them enough because the sells ain’t good.

I haven’t got opinion about the “single”. And I doubt that I never will, as I’m not gonna download it, like the previous one. Fuck download singles…

Oh, Who wants to buy my Therapy? collection?

Why don’t you ask this on the Wildhearts forum?

I couldn’t care less about Wildhearts, but that’s my personal opinion.
