Not to beat this to death, the US goal was an error. Normally would not have happened and we (the US) caught a break there. But sometimes sports come down to dumb luck.
And again, being a new guy to the game, I like Rooney. Emotional, but I like the hard charging attitude. Good luck to England the rest of the way.

I don’t think we (in the US) feel smug about this. More relief that we held our own against a better field of players but not necessarily better players making a better team.
I am just now learning this sport here - so my opinion should be valued accordingly.

I’m an American. I like rugby, watching it and my feeble attempt at playing it. Not real good with the rules, but like the hitting and action.
How is American football going over, there? I know the NFL has a big push on to make American football popular in Europe. Also know that Wembley was pretty well packed for the NY Giants vs. Miami Dolphins game last year.

Was it just curiosity or is there a real interest?
