Re: 56 Days in Chit-Chat
I do this with a lot of bands, specially with Therapy?… I go for weeks without listening to anything from them, then when I start, I have to go through everything a lot of times, then I stop again… and so on…
@Dusty: about listening to the band before seeing them live, I do the EXACT opposite… when the gig is getting near, I don’t listen to anything from the band, not one freakin’ song… then, when I listen to the songs live, it seems they sound even better… there’s a sense of relief, I don’t know how to put it in words, but I like how it feels…

Re: When Good Bands Do Bad Things in Chit-Chat
Helmet - Size Matters and Monochrome
Prong - Scorpio Rising
I was going to include Tool’s 10,000 Days, but I really like some songs… but it’s the only Tool album that I can’t listen to the whole thing and I keep skipping tracks…

Re: NANE - Best T? album by a mile! in General Therapy? Topics
you know, that’s exactly why Therapy? is my favorite band ever… there’s an album for everything… there are punk songs, ballads, grunge, good ol’ rock’n’roll, whatever…
and NANE is one of my favorites, I was really glad when it came out… I was a litlle disappointed with High Anxiety, but NANE made me think “wow, they still have some GREAT stuff to show”

Re: Metallica in Other Bands & Artists
“It’s their job”???
seriously??
I don’t think they need to release another album just to pay for their kids college or something (or Lars’ art collection, urgh)
I’m seeing the next album as some kind of “last chance” moment… they KNOW that everything since Load (or the Black Album, actually) is considered crap when compared to old metallica, and it is pretty clear in my mind that they WANT to release something that is closer to Master or And Justice…
and if it’s another half-assed album like St. Anger (which has some pretty good moments, but seriously…), maybe it’s time to everyone go home, enjoy their families and realize that Metallica died in bus accident in Sweden several years ago…
(by the way, I’m pretty drunk right now and I’m hoping my sentences make any sense at all)
