Re: T? in Belgrade AGAIN? in Therapy? Live

Why not? Guys had great time here! Even the roadies were very cool and satisfied with the event. :)
But I don’t see it anywhere soon though, T? need a little break. ;)

Title: The meaning of Potato Junkie?! (merged)

Well, I never understood what Andy tried to say with this song.

I always loved the rhythm of this song, but personally, with all respect I have to the T? boys and girls, I find the chorus little offensive. I know it’s a tongue in cheek thing, but does it have any point, really?

Is it like “JJ is screwing up/poisoning my sisters brain”? Kind of brainwashing thing, translated into “fucking”. Or…?

Yep, but still they played it, right? ;)
It’s a song from the second encore.

Oh yeah, when those guys were screaming “I can’t remember my own name”, I was all into “Riiiiise up, riiiiise up make yorself weeeeeel!”, but uh, nobody heard me. ;)

Re: Therapy? in Belgrade, Serbia in Therapy? Live

You forgot to add the song from the second encore - Trigger Inside!

I think Our white noise & Rain hits concrete was played in the second half of the set, while old Irish folk song (you know what I mean ;) ), was played quite early.

I wish they played something from Shameless, like I am the money or Gimme back my brain, but I know that would be hard to do because those songs need the 2nd guitar. :)

Re: One cure fits all - intentionally screwed sound? in General Therapy? Topics

I started to appreciate OCFA a lot more! In fact I like the whole album much more than NANE. Rain hits concrete EP is also amazing.

Solid and very strong effort. Hearing the songs live added the new dimension. I especially liked Our white noise live.

Re: Therapy? in Belgrade, Serbia in Therapy? Live

I’m too impressed with Neil!! He’s extremely fast drum machine in human form! ;) He is amazing!
I’m sure Michael & Andy are impressed with him as well. He’s really up there with Fyfe. I just hope he’ll stay in T? for long.

Lasereyes and his paki english! :D :D No offense man, you always bring the smile to my face!

Oh yeah, I think there was more than 400 people. And I’ll repeat - if you want to buy the last 2 albums use http://www.amazon.de or http://www.amazon.com for older albums (high anxiety for example). The price is very good (even better than in our local shops) with no extra costs/taxes added. Just make sure to order one album at a time (do not exceed 20 euro per package, because customs may charge extra!).

Re: Therapy? in Belgrade, Serbia in Therapy? Live

This post isn’t T? related, so I’ll write on serbian.

Re: Therapy? in Belgrade, Serbia in Therapy? Live

Why worrying at all?
Every time I go to some concert I hear stuff like “tickets aren’t selling well”… I don’t know who puts that *lies* in the air… the venues were always fully packed!

I’m sure Therapy? gig will be the same. Expect to be crowded!

P.S. Remember that not all tickets are sold at SKC… SKC is just one of many places where you can buy them.

Re: OCFA what do you think? in General Therapy? Topics

I just read the whole thread. :D
Well, I disagree with all OCFA unbelievers. ;)

When I first heard the album I thought “uhh.. okkkay”. It was just ok - average.

Then I tried it again after a couple of days, when I was in a different mood and whoa - I started to like that album more and more.
The song Heart beats hits was particularly dull to me the first time, but now it’s one of my favourites.
And I already know that feeling - when the worst song goes to the no.1 position, it means that album is awesome, it just needs time and has a growing songs.
Growers = more fun!
What someone here already said, this album is very consistent and all songs just fit! Unlike NANE which sounds more like a collection of (great) songs.

It has some T? classics like: Our white noise, rain hits concrete, sprung, private nobody, fear of god. If you don’t like that songs how come that you like T? at all?! Hmmm…

The only stuff that I don’t really care for is Deluded son and DSA (I like the whole song except the chorus, but I really like “so scared of dying” part). They are ok, but not really my cup of tea.
But when I look at entire T? collection, there wasn’t a single album where I liked _all_ songs. Maybe it was infernal love…but…

And oh yeah, The Rain hits concrete EP is a bliss!!! Play on, Cocaine eyes, Hard work - just GREAT tunes! I like OCFA even more!! Therapy? alone did a better production on these tracks (drums-wise) than Pedro.

I wouldn’t want to hear God Kicks even when flushing the toilet… blauuah…

The boy’s asleep would be just great for that occasion.

Re: One cure fits all - intentionally screwed sound? in General Therapy? Topics

Well, it’s a simple song, but it doesn’t have to be complex to be good, at least for me. I really like the tension and disharmony of the whole thing!
Andy shines vocally there… in some dirty way.

Now, only “Into the Light” sounds awful. It’s the only track on the album that I skip because of the bad production and the song itself ain’t that good either. But I think NANE has more fillers than OFCA.

I quite like Into the light… at first I didn’t, but now it’s one of my favourites and I like to play it loud!

Re: One cure fits all - intentionally screwed sound? in General Therapy? Topics

I guess many of us see (hear) the album in totally different, even opposite way… and that’s good!

Hearing that it was recorded live clears some doubts I had!

Re: One cure fits all - intentionally screwed sound? in General Therapy? Topics

I agree, I noticed that too.
In some songs drums are just crisp and tight..

Don’t know what to say…we still don’t know if the album was mastered at all.
Maybe that’s the only reason why some songs sound ok, while others are little murky.

But I disagree with you about fillers…
It does have one or two weaker tracks… but even Troublegum had that.

P.S. I didn’t know that OCFA was recorded live like SP:YF?? Huh?

One cure fits all - intentionally screwed sound? in General Therapy? Topics

Title: One cure fits all - intentionally screwed sound?

I was just listening NANE for the first time and was blown away with it!! Wooow! It is raw, but with a style, power and T? trademark sound.
But the sound is crystal clear. So was in Shameless or High anxiety… and albums before that.

Apparently, that’s not the case in One cure fits all.
I like that album very much, but sometimes I got tired of hearing drums (snare) or guitars buried deep in the mix… Was it mastered at all (I searched the booklet and couldn’t find the mastering guy)?

But that makes me think… maybe the guys just wanted to have more “demo” sound? They are too experienced and too good to allow this “mistake” by accident.
In the end, it makes a contrast… because the whole album is pretty straight and accessible song wise, yet the mix is practically non-mastered.

Or maybe my ears need a little cleansing? ;)

Re: Camera on a gig? Possible? in Therapy? Live

No, it’s just a normal digital camera for taking pictures. :)

I know the band doesn’t give a damn for that, but I’m more concerned about security…

Camera on a gig? Possible? in Therapy? Live

Title: Camera on a gig? Possible?

Is it allowed at T? gigs?
Where do you hide it when forbidden? :)

Re: Therapy? in Belgrade, Serbia in Therapy? Live

Hej cao! Ja sam sa Novog Beograda. Ostatak price cu na engleskom jer je ovo njihov sajt. :)

The ticket price is 1500din.

I bought the albums like usual, with internet visa card. Amazon.de has the best price for Never apologize never explain.

At first I wanted to order that album through this website…but, damn it, the UK pounds are way too high.

You should check with several Amazons and see where’s the lowest price (for example, Amazon.com was best for High Anxiety).

I’d love to bring the camera to the gig… but is it allowed?! I doubt so… :(
Anyone?

Wooooooow! I never expected that!!!
I was/I’m their fan since days of Opal Mantra too! Greets CEO, sounds like we started a T? in the same time. :D

I never expected that Therapy? will come to my Belgrade!! Yay!! :)
I don’t want to see a setlist… want it to be the surprise!

P.S. I bought last 2 albums through http://www.amazon.de, if you are interested…

Re: maybe there’s no therapy for me after all? in General Therapy? Topics

Hey, thanks!

But, oh no, sorry, some songs just sound crap to my ears. His voice… ugggh.

Other’s people misery… totally not listenable, even this 30sec clip was a torture. Hate kill destroy… God kicks… UH! Sounds like a drunken fart.

I guess I won’t spend any money to Suicide Pact.

Six mile water sounds great though… and I remember I always liked that song. If Andy only kept that kind of voice for all songs… instead of farting and shouting in the mic.

I guess after all these years I haven’t changed my mind. SP:YF is definitely not for me and worst what I’ve heard from Therapy? since Babyteeth/Pleasure death.
Music is great, but Andy’s voice is annoying, irritating and ruins everything.

Re: maybe there’s no therapy for me after all? in General Therapy? Topics

And OCFA has really grown on me!! Full of great tunes… the least favourite song in the beginning - Heart beats hits, became my favourite now! I like that kind of stuff… that’s what I call the hidden gems!

Re: maybe there’s no therapy for me after all? in General Therapy? Topics

Mmmmmm no… since I don’t own Suicide pact, I’ll have to buy it. But I’m still afraid. ;) That was the album that made me hate Therapy? huh… Suicide pact will probably be the last album that I’ll hear.

By the way, I now REALLY like and appreciate Shameless… just great album. :)
