Re: General Happy Birthday Topic! in Chit-Chat
An, have a great birthday! I hope the Wii Fit has arrived!?
I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate your birthday, than exercising.
Er, wait, hang on…
I hope Jan has made a big effort with your pressie? :-)

Re: Divers in Other Bands & Artists
I must say the 4 downloads are quite rocking! Sometimes drifting a little too close to The Killers territory, but very good nonetheless. I’ve stuck ‘em on a cdr with the rest of their singles and it just about constitutes a full album! 39 minutes or so.

Really? Could’ve sworn I saw a completely empty space where the pub was… then again, I may have been a liiiitle bit drunk when I passed it! :-)
Yeah, God bless ‘im. It was a sweet venue.

Really? That sucks.
A few years ago, I remember looking for the Attic in Dublin (where I first saw Therapy? play), only to discover that it, and the White Horse pub below, had been demolished. I remember feeling a little sad inside. :-(
I guess it wouldn’t be so bad if they rebuilt a new venue there, but it’s probably a branch of the Halifax by now!

Re: Therapy? Belast Pilgrimage, where to go? in General Therapy? Topics
Hmm, maybe the Conor Hall Art College where they played their first gig? Or the Limelight where they played lots of early gigs?
Or you could track down the studio on Lisburn Road where they recorded their first demo?
I would say Homestead Studios (where they recorded Babyteeth) but that’s in Randalstown, which is near Belfast.

Re: Divers in Other Bands & Artists
I’ve sent them on Simon, ignore the first two though, they fucked up for some reason so I re-sent them.
6 tracks altogether - 2 from the split 7” (1995) and 4 from the Chevron EP (1996).

Re: Divers in Other Bands & Artists
Just really bumping this topic back up.
Has anyone got those ‘new’ tracks that were downloadable on the Divers page? I’d like to get them.
I have transferred the 2 tracks that were on their first release (a split 7”) from vinyl to cdr, and also have the “Chevron” cd single, if anyone wants the tracks. I thought they were a good band, including the stuff that Fyfe doesn’t play on. I’d be interested to know if they’ve released anything recently.

Re: Therapy? site updates 2008 in Site Announcements
Hi Rene/Sarah,
Just wondering if the “Music Through a Cheap Transistor” album will be added to the Discography section, or do the band have the hump ‘cos they weren’t involved in the release! :-)

Yep. I know that had been on Youtube already, but I’d never seen the “Die Laughing” performance before.

Take a chance, while you still got the choice.
Just thinking the same thing too Dennis!
“That qwnes, dude!”. Or something.

Re: An Interesting T?-fact from Everett True’s Book “Nirvana: The True Story” in General Therapy? Topics
Therapy? supported Hole on their UK tour in 1991, so it’s fair to say they met her!

Re: RIP Keith Baxter in General Therapy? Topics
You could be right Vagabond - I recognised ‘something’ but didn’t know what.
Now that you mention it, it is a little similar to ‘Stand In Line’.
Cool tune though, nice to have!

Re: Haveyou ever met a rock star and not even realised it? in Other Bands & Artists
That’s cool - the Glasgow Apollo show is probably the most famous ac/dc gig - it’s the one on the “If You Want Blood” live album from ‘78.

Re: RIP Keith Baxter in General Therapy? Topics
First I’ve heard of the song too. It doesn’t sound like it ‘became’ anything off the album, so probably just a song that fell by the wayside.

Re: Casey Jones Reaction Songs in General Therapy? Topics
Thanks to Andy, Sarah, Michael & his bro’ and Rene for their very kind efforts here. I’m liking both tracks a lot - there’s something about the organ that’s cool (I’ve no idea why), and Apple certainly benefits from it. Great stuff!
Once again, thanks a million to the band… just look at the audio page on this site and realise how many free demo tracks the lads have provided us (for free!). Now, what other ‘name’ band would do that?
Therapy? do indeed rock. Thanks guys, from a loyal and long-time fan. :-)

Re: RIP Keith Baxter in General Therapy? Topics
Great idea from the band to pay tribute like that. Thanks T? and Rene.
My favourite Keith moment was when Michael jumped on his drum riser at Taubertal and promptly fell off, Keith burst out laughing but held it together and didn’t miss a beat mid-song. :-)
Great drummer and really suited the band, I thought. There’s a radio broadcast from the Stockholm gig on that tour that’s available in trading circles, and he made the band sound vibrant again which is something they had lacked (in my opinion) since the “Suicide Pact” tour in ‘99.
RIP dude.
