Re: Q about babyteeth/pleasure death artwork in General Therapy? Topics
Eh, not me. I’ve always wondered which films they are from too.
The Babyteeth one actually looks like Fyfe and that’s what I thought when I was younger, but then sense kicked in and I reasoned that it was a little too ambitious to set up a stunt like that just for a photo!
Come to think of it, the Pleasure Death one kinda looks like Andy… maybe they were going for a “look-a-like” theme with their album artwork?

Re: Anything new with T? in General Therapy? Topics
I think the American releases are;
Caucasian Psychosis (1/4 Stick) 1992
Nurse (A&M) 1992
Hats off to the Insane (A&M) 1993
Troublegum (A&M) 1994
Infernal Love (A&M) 1996
Suicide Pact (Ark21) 2000
So Much For The Ten Year Plan (Ark21) 2000
Shameless (Ark21) 2001
High Anxiety (Spitfire) 2003
Semi Detached, NANE, OCFA have not been released there. Nothing since ‘03 is a little worrying!

TBS, I live in Ireland and still get all my info from this site!
They’re not exactly all over the radio and magazine covers over here either :-(
But you’re right to ask, they should be keeping this site a little more updated with what they’re up to…

Re: Love it when T? comes up on the ipod shuffle.. in General Therapy? Topics
My lady bought me a 8GB Ipod lately, so I quickly loaded up songs on it with the intention of playing them in the car.
I changed the cd player in my car for a new one which has a USB port on the front and is “mp3 compatible”.
Low and behold, the ipod won’t fucking work on the new car stereo as it’s not campatible.
What a bunch of cunts manufacturers (in this case, Pioneer) are!
Why advertise mp3 compatability and a USB port when the most popular media for mp3’s (the Ipod) won’t fucking work on them!
What a fucking waste of time and effort… now I’ll have to buy an in-car transmitter to use the Ipod, which is why I bought a new stereo in the first place - to avoid having wires all over the place.

Dennis, I think you’ve just found the title of the new album!!
“So long as it’s healthy”
…sounds like a cool album name to me!

Jerry,
Why wait for cold turkey as the excuse to thrash the missus? Putting the old dear in her place is an all year round fun activity which requires no reason or occasion.
Oh shit, she’s coming, better log out before she reads this… :-o

Alan , The White Horse Inn is still there , although a completely different place. God bless the late Len.
Really? Could’ve sworn I saw a completely empty space where the pub was… then again, I may have been a liiiitle bit drunk when I passed it! :-)
Yeah, God bless ‘im. It was a sweet venue.

Re: Therapy? Belast Pilgrimage, where to go? in General Therapy? Topics
Really? That sucks.
A few years ago, I remember looking for the Attic in Dublin (where I first saw Therapy? play), only to discover that it, and the White Horse pub below, had been demolished. I remember feeling a little sad inside. :-(
I guess it wouldn’t be so bad if they rebuilt a new venue there, but it’s probably a branch of the Halifax by now!

Re: Therapy? Belast Pilgrimage, where to go? in General Therapy? Topics
Hmm, maybe the Conor Hall Art College where they played their first gig? Or the Limelight where they played lots of early gigs?
Or you could track down the studio on Lisburn Road where they recorded their first demo?
I would say Homestead Studios (where they recorded Babyteeth) but that’s in Randalstown, which is near Belfast.

Yep. I know that had been on Youtube already, but I’d never seen the “Die Laughing” performance before.

Therapy? supported Hole on their UK tour in 1991, so it’s fair to say they met her!

Re: RIP Keith Baxter in General Therapy? Topics
You could be right Vagabond - I recognised ‘something’ but didn’t know what.
Now that you mention it, it is a little similar to ‘Stand In Line’.
Cool tune though, nice to have!

Re: RIP Keith Baxter in General Therapy? Topics
First I’ve heard of the song too. It doesn’t sound like it ‘became’ anything off the album, so probably just a song that fell by the wayside.

Re: Casey Jones Reaction Songs in General Therapy? Topics
Thanks to Andy, Sarah, Michael & his bro’ and Rene for their very kind efforts here. I’m liking both tracks a lot - there’s something about the organ that’s cool (I’ve no idea why), and Apple certainly benefits from it. Great stuff!
Once again, thanks a million to the band… just look at the audio page on this site and realise how many free demo tracks the lads have provided us (for free!). Now, what other ‘name’ band would do that?
Therapy? do indeed rock. Thanks guys, from a loyal and long-time fan. :-)

Re: RIP Keith Baxter in General Therapy? Topics
Great idea from the band to pay tribute like that. Thanks T? and Rene.
My favourite Keith moment was when Michael jumped on his drum riser at Taubertal and promptly fell off, Keith burst out laughing but held it together and didn’t miss a beat mid-song. :-)
Great drummer and really suited the band, I thought. There’s a radio broadcast from the Stockholm gig on that tour that’s available in trading circles, and he made the band sound vibrant again which is something they had lacked (in my opinion) since the “Suicide Pact” tour in ‘99.
RIP dude.

Re: new stuff (Clowns Galore) in General Therapy? Topics
So is “Clowns Galore” the name of that song? Strange… that was the name of a song recorded for the OCFA sessions which was apparently a completed tune, apart from the vocals. The song in the video only seems to be an early idea.

Found some more (from Michael’s diaries) if anyone cares;
Pringle Farm demos (Dec ‘05):
Dollmaker (became Freeze The Remains), Batbomb (became Crazy Cocaine Eyes), Clowns Galore, Bounce.
Clowns Galore was also recorded, but not finished, in March ‘06 at the Hive in Derby.

Re: Therapy? Lost Songs - Update in General Therapy? Topics
While going through the old “Funny Farm” fanclubmagazines, I noticed a track called “Stay Awhile”. It was recorded in November ‘94 at Chapel Studios as an Infernal Love demo. here’s what Michael said about it in his diary;
“Listen to a DAT of “Stay Awhile” then myself and Fyfe try to multi-track a version without guide guitar or vocals which is damn hard. In fact it’s impossible so we give up”.
