Re: Therapy? site updates 2008 in Site Announcements
Hi Rene/Sarah,
Just wondering if the “Music Through a Cheap Transistor” album will be added to the Discography section, or do the band have the hump ‘cos they weren’t involved in the release! :-)

*Hmmm, nicely printed booklet that fits, uuggghh!*
… said in Homer-esqe, tongue-out, eyes-glazed style-e.
Yeah, a proper cd release would be sweet. I still can’t find/buy/download/burn/throwkitchensinkat the fecker.
Still, Simon may well have a plan strategy for me. I need to reply to him about that.

Re: Site Updates - March 2007 in Site Announcements
Hmmm, kinda surprised there wasn’t a mention of the BBC album artwork which is now available for download?
One question, how can we jam 7 pages into a jewel case? :p
Oh yes, and will the album itself be going into the album discography section?

Re: Did you receive the mailing list e-mail? in Site Announcements

Re: Site Updates - November 2003 in Site Announcements
I’d prefer more audio tracks than high quality videos, but hey, it’s all good! :D
Great work Rene!

Re: To all the Therapy? fans out there worldwide in Site Announcements
Irish music stores = joke
I haven’t bought a Therapy? release (that’s including albums) in Ireland, since 1998 - I have to order them off the internet from England.
But if I wanted 1000 Justin Timberlake albums, a 2 minute walk into town and it’s sorted.
Once again, this album will sell fuck all in Ireland - is it any surprise they haven’t booked any gigs here in ages.
Oh by the way, welcome to the boards foreveraftermath :)

Re: Merged user accounts in Site Announcements
Bah!
Alex, you only got your 2 accounts merged ‘cos you wanna be in the race for top poster!
Iris is just too far ahead, man - give it up!
:D

Re: Changes on the WoM in Site Announcements
Sounds good, I believe signatures should be of a certain length and no more. :-)
I must say I already prefer the new look meassage board. I went on to teethgrinder.com, and was like “Uggh” … I guess I’ve gotten more used to the graphics on this site.
Keep the green, I say!!

Re: Changes on the WoM in Site Announcements
New window definately, if the URL’s crap then a quick ‘x’ is more fun than hitting ‘back’, and waiting for the page to load.
Not too bothered about signatures - I don’t mind the one-line sigs, but you see some people (on other boards, I must stress!) with huge paragraphs and even pictures for signatures. And that’s just a pain in the arse to be looking at.

Re: It’s Here! in Site Announcements
Wow, looking good!
Well done Rene & Sarah, you’ve done a lot of cool work.
If you ever need anything from me (recordings, info etc), don’t hesitate to ask someone else first :-)
Nah, just kidding - lemme know if I can help out at all!
Cheers

I wasn’t aware that waiting with the launch of the site until tonight woud have such an impact on your life, Alan, otherwise it would have been different.. ;-) Do tell about the story, I’m curious!
Well, just a story about the National Lottery in Ireland fixing the results every week. And how they were caught last night, and now have to refund everyone who has bought a ticket in the last year.
Not very interesting, or believable (reading back through it), but I believed it when the guy was telling me! But I wouldn’t put it past the people involved in the lottery if they did ‘fix’ it!
Besides, I’ve never bought a lottery ticket so I wasn’t too excited about the refund part, so I wasn’t jumping around the room celebrating an unexpectant windfall :-)
Back to the new site, could you gimme a list/idea of the rare songs that’ll be available for download? Or shall that remain a surprise till the actual launch?

Re: News about upcoming (official) site improvements! in Site Announcements
Bugger, I’ll have to wait till tomorrow.
All my hopes and dreams dashed!
Speaking of April Fools Day - I think I’ve been tricked already today. Although the person who told me the story has been tricked as well, I think. I can normally tell when he’s bullshitting me, and he seems to believe it (or he’s become a really good liar!)

Ahh, makes sense now.
Typical Alan - everything has to be spelt out!
No thick Paddy jokes, please! :-)

Re: Troublegum reviews in Site Announcements
Eh, what are yee 2 nutters on about? :-)
They’ve been sent yesterday, to Alex. Don’t fret Sarah, I’ve devised a cunning strategy with Alex that involves him scanning them, and sending them to you.
At least I think that’s what’s been devised!?

Re: Troublegum reviews in Site Announcements
Shit!
After sending that envelope of clippings today, I discover another stash of magazines with T? clippings in them that I never sent.
Sorry Alex.
I’m some tool…

Re: Troublegum reviews in Site Announcements
Oh yeah, maybe.
There’s a tiny Nurse review and a big Infernal Love review, but there’s no Troublegum one.
Actually, from memory I think there’s a sidebar on the IL review that gives a brief summary of previous RAW! reviews for Therapy? albums. So there’s 1 or 2 sentence reviews of Babyteeth, Pleasure Death, Nurse & Troublegum.
Hardly worth getting up out of bed for though. :-)

It’s quite possible there are no TG reviews… I think Alan was just referring to articles in general in the In Print section. If you are after TG reviews _in particular_ and can’t find any, they are probably not there. If you are after articles in general on the other hand…
How dare you!!! Mistaken identity, he cried!!
It was Auto_Surgery who led hooch astray with his wild, erratic reference to Alex’s site!
Justice, I demand thee!!!
And revenge. Justice and revenge.
Yes, that’ll do…

Re: Troublegum reviews in Site Announcements
Alex, those clippings will be in the post tomorrow. It turns out a lot of my stuff, you already have on your site. But there’s still some nice things that you haven’t got, including some old fan-club letters and such…
Could ya send the scans (once they’re done, of course) of the stuff I’ve sent you, onto Sarah?
I don’t wanna get in the cross-fire of any suicidepact.com vs. teethgrinder.com war!
:-)

Re: Troublegum reviews in Site Announcements
I’ve an old review (RAW, maybe?) of Nurse, that I’m quite fond of.
Sarah, do you need the actual review or would a transcribe do?

Isn’t “osmosis” itself the technical term for water passing through an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration?
Or something.
Or am I just a dumbass?

Re: Please welcome our first Community Leader! in Site Announcements
“Teethgrinder” and “hoochalobster”
I guess “Alan” is too boring a name for a mod! Alas, I can never be …
I vote Dr. Bigjoint as next mod, as he’s a serious nutcase when it comes to Therapy? bootlegs :-) And his name is cooler than mine!
Who’s with me?
