Take a chance, while you still got the choice.
Just thinking the same thing too Dennis!
“That qwnes, dude!”. Or something.

Re: Gigology in Therapy? Live
19/9/92 – EBU Rock Festival, Kranhallen, Aalborg, Denmark
Potato Junkie from this gig appears on the “Rock’N Europe Live ‘92” CD.
Some nice quotes from Andy during this track actually: “what a bunch of ugly fuckers down the front!” and “blah blah blah, I’m so bored and you cunts aren’t helping me”. Sounds like they didn’t go down to well, not surprising since this gig was put on by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and featured bands from all over Europe - most of whom were not rock.

Re: Jägermeister Rock Liga in Therapy? Live
Huh? Was this like a “battle of the bands” thing, or something?
Are T? playing on May 17th in Berlin? If so, I guess that all the bands had to agree, before the tour started, to be available on that date.
As JFK would say, “I am a doughnut.”

Re: Jägermeister Rock Liga in Therapy? Live
So, Micheal fell before the first song (Punishment Kiss) and couldn’t finish out the set, but how was his playing during the set itself? Was it obvious, by his playing, that he was wasted?
I like to think that ‘rock instinct’ (!) takes over, and he performed like the ferocious bass monster that we all admire!! :-)

Re: Gigology in Therapy? Live
Some new ones;
Thursday 17/2/94 - Trocadero Theatre, Philadelphia, PA, USA
Supporting Kings X;
20/4/94 - Graffiti, Pittsburgh, PA
22/4/94 - Newport Music Hall, Columbus, OH
23/4/94 - Ritz, Roseville, MI
24/4/94 - Park West, Chicago, IL
26/4/94 - Mirage, Minneapolis, MN
27/4/94 - Ranch Bowl, Omaha, NE
28/4/94 - Lone Star, Kansas City, MO
30/4/94 - Coliseum, Wichita, KS
1/5/94 - Blazefest, Lincoln, NE
2/5/94 - Mississippi Nights, St. Louis, MO
4/5/94 - Bogarts, Cincinnati, OH
Supporting Rollins Band;
9/5/94 - The Strand, Providence, RI
10/5/94 - Irving Plaza, New York City, NY
11/5/94 - Irving Plaza, New York City, NY
12/5/94 - Avalon Ballroom, Boston, MA
13/5/94 - Boathouse, Norfolk, VA
16/5/94 - Concert Hall, Toronto, ON, Canada
18/5/94 - State Theatre, Detroit, MI
I got these dates from a US press kit for Troublegum. I noticed the 18/5/94 date contradicts with a recording in trading circles from Agora Ballroom, Cleveland, OH. I think the Cleveland show was possibly on 19/5/94 instead. The press kits states there were more dates to follow so that show was probably added…

Darren,
I’m able to confirm the actual date of their Feile’92 gig in Thurles, Ireland;

Also, they did a secret gig in 2003; (see “Derby secret gig” thread in the live section)
Flowerpot, Derby, England 5/10/03

Cool setlist too.

Re: TORONTO?!?!?! WTF?!?!?! in Therapy? Live
Nice one, greycell. Is that you pictured with Andy?
Shame about the short set, and only 2 songs since 1994!!
That’s shocking! :eek:

Jesus Christ, another fucking gig in Canada!
When will they ever play in Europe, huh?

Re: Gigology in Therapy? Live
They supported BodyCount in Australia in ‘95?
Didn’t know that! :)
From reading a Donington’95 piece that Michael wrote for Kerrang, they played;
Friday, 25/8/95 - ???, Hatfield, England - secret gig as “Australian Therapy?”
Darren, a correction for your list;
Tuesday, 3/3/92 The Venue, Edinburgh, Scotland (listed as London on your site)
Also, these dates did not happen / incorrect;
Wednesday, 24/8/94 Dalymount Park, Dublin, Ireland
Friday, 26/8/94 Daily Man Park, Sunstroke Festival, Ireland
Monday, 17/3/97 MTV Live ‘N’ Direct, St.Patrick’s Day, Ireland
Saturday, 11/3/00 Olympia Theatre, Dublin, Ireland.

Re: First dates of 2007 in Therapy? Live
Edit: Forget it, I’ve just seen on Wikipedia where it is - halfway around the world! If it was on the westcoast of Africa, I’d consider going but it’s bloody southeast! :eek:
Still though, should be great fun for the band!

Reunion Island? Sounds interesting! Could be worth a short visit! ;)

Re: Ideal set list???? in Therapy? Live
It’s a good song, but nothing more really. I think most people consider ‘Shameless’ to be T?’s weakest album so they may not “get into” the good songs on that album as much as songs off other albums. Personally, I prefer ‘Dance’.

Re: Isn’t about time Skinning Pit made a return to the set? in Therapy? Live
I’d prefer Fantasy Bag myself. Or Prison Breaker.

Re: Calling Out Therapy?!!!! in Therapy? Live
:D
I’m impressed someone has managed to mention “Burgerland” on the T? boards! Does that particular fast-food chain still exist? Haven’t seen one in years, not since McDonalds overthrew the Burgerland regime in Clonmel in the uprising of 1997.

Re: Gigology in Therapy? Live
Some more dates;
18/7/90 - Rockhouse, Derby (supporting The Beyond)
4/5/91 - Camden Falcon, London (supporting Sun Carriage)
13/12/91 - Duchess of York, Leeds (supporting Hole)
23/6/92 - Khyber Pass, Chicago (supporting Babes in Toyland) - I believe this to be the bands first gig in US, the one Andy mentioned as being a one-off show.
The band also played all 3 dates of Australia’s Alternative Nation Festival in 1995. There’s a recording of their Melbourne show as “19/4/95”, the correct date is 16/4/95.
14/4/95 - Alternative Nation Festival, Brisbane
15/4/95 - Alternative Nation Festival, Sydney
16/4/95 - Alternative Nation Festival, Melbourne

Re: Gigology in Therapy? Live
I recently found a list of all American dates of the 1996 Ozzfest. Andy mentioned a couple of times in interviews that they played some of the dates, when available - can anyone remember how many?
The Ozzfest went on for most of September & October that year, and by my reckoning, Therapy? were possibly available for 10 dates maximum because they were touring Canada extensively at the time.
If someone can provide the number of dates T? played, I can then work out which ones.

“Caroline Says” by Lou Reed, perhaps?

Re: Songs Never Played Live in Therapy? Live
October ‘98 would have been around the time they played a song called “Kiss me on the Ghost Train”, which eventually became “Last Blast”. Would it have been this, by chance?
If not, cool… another recording to hunt for! “Never Ending” live would be great to have. :)

Re: Songs Never Played Live in Therapy? Live
Now THAT was a funny fuckin’ interview :D
I was in tears when I first heard it, I still listen to it now and again whenever I need a cheer-up! Andy only managed to play “Bowels of Love” somewhat completely - all his attempts at other songs were pretty shortlived, due to his inebriation / fact he was totally wankered ;)

Prison Breaker - definately played at Mean Fiddler, London 3/3/92
Found out recently (from an old review in NME) that this recording is actually from August 1991. On 3/3/92, they played the Venue in Edinburgh.

Re: Therapy? confirmed as Motorhead support in Therapy? Live
Dublin gigs were fantastic of course! Big hello to all we met; Kozzu & Kati, Cuchulain & Karen, souldoubt & Jan, Judged, KJCDublin, Pip, and anyone else we had a chat with.
Also had a chat with ex-Pet Lamb man Dylan Philips, which was great too!
Highlights during the sets were Skyward & Innocent X. Actually, regarding the acoustic set, I was well impressed with Neils drumming on just a snare & a symbal. Both Andy & Michael looked to be in good form throughout both sets. Lets hope for a full show soon though! :)

Looking forward to this one. In all me days on these forums, I’ve only ever met one other WoMble.
Yeah, gotta try find this Foggy Dew place then! :)
Can’t wait to see some of the lesser spotted Irish wombles! I’ve met Pip and (honourary Irish womble) Cuchulain, but I’m sure there’s more! Also looking forward to finally meeting Kozzu, and meeting souldoubt and Jan again (I’ll be sober this time, I promise!) :)

I guess the underlines represent breaks to change guitars due to different tunings, and maybe for a little rest at the same time.
