Re: T? at Vauréal 01/10/2006 in Therapy? Live

I guess the underlines represent breaks to change guitars due to different tunings, and maybe for a little rest at the same time.

Re: Lokeren - 04/08/2006 in Therapy? Live

Good gig, I’d definately say Andy had a few drinks before the show! When he was shouting at the crowd to continually say “Evil Priest” before Innocent X, I had my proof!!

Incidently, nice to see them using the “heavy breathing” sample all the way through IX, even though Michael almost forgot to turn it off afterwards! Next we need the spoken word samples back, and the world will be a perfect place again. :)

Re: current setlist (if they stick to one during a tour) in Therapy? Live

This is their set-list from a gig in Inverness last month. I doubt the set will change much from this;

SPRUNG
TURN
ACCELERATOR
KNIVES
SCREAMAGER
RAIN HITS CONCRETE
OUR WHITE NOISE
RUST
ROCK YOU MONKEYS
POLAR BEAR
TEETHGRINDER
INNOCENT X
DIE LAUGHING
NOWHERE
WALK THROUGH DARKNESS
DIANE
STORIES
ISOLATION
POTATO JUNKIE

Been listening to this quite a lot in the last week or so since it arrived. Pretty good stuff :) It certainly has me looking forward to the gig more.

What a fuckin’ great tune “Overkill” is, eh? All the false endings are class!

Just purchased, cheers for the link.

Hmmm, Motorhead did “Ace of Spades”?, who would have thought! :)

Re: Therapy? confirmed as Motorhead support in Therapy? Live

I’ll be honest - I know very little about Motorhead’s music so I wanna get an album or two before the show.

Recommendations please. Or is there any ‘best of’ things out?

ps. Jerry, cheers man - I may need to take you up on that!

Re: Therapy? confirmed as Motorhead support in Therapy? Live

Well, since Petri & Kati are making the trip from Finland, it would be remiss of me not to attend! :)

How much are tickets?
An arm and a leg? Or just the arm?

Re: T? Play Dublin (Download 09/06/06) in Therapy? Live

Oh yeah, it was rockin’. Just a shame they had some sound problems early in the set, and then had to drop three songs at the end. They certainly got the crowd going and I’m happy that it was in the tent and not the main stage; more like a proper gig. Though obviously, for the band themselves it would’ve been better to play the main stage for exposure and all that… we hung out with the lads afterwards for a good while too! ;)

Re: Gigology in Therapy? Live

Wed 20th June; Limelight, Belfast (the poster for this was shown on the ATL BBC special recently, the year probably 1990)

14/12/93; Warehouse, Plymouth (saw this on someone’s tradepage)

10/5/94; Irving Plaza, New York City (supporting Rollins Band)
11/5/94; Irving Plaza, New York City (supporting Rollins Band)

Re: T? Play Dublin (Download 09/06/06) in Therapy? Live

1000 in the tent for Therapy is a little optimistic - it was more like 250 or so.

Re: T? Play Dublin (Download 09/06/06) in Therapy? Live

sprung
turn
accelerator
rain hits concrete
knives
screamager
our white noise
rust
rock you monkeys
teethgrinder
nowhere
potato junkie/femtex

On the setlist but not played was Innocent X and Die Laughing. The guys were a bit pissed off about Axl showing up on time (for once) because they had to cut the set short. Turn really got the crowd going, so much so the security apes decided to invade the pit and stay there, the assholes - always the same in Ireland for some reason :(
Andy screaming “murderers!” repeatedly about Bush & Blair was pretty cool though. Had a cool time hanging with Cuchulain and the band afterwards.

Re: T? Play Dublin (Download 09/06/06) in Therapy? Live

The gig will be over by 10pm? Bloody residents!

Only 40mins for T? - shit. Starting at 7.15? - too early.

It’s an Irish festival for sure!

Re: Welsh date: Narberth 26/05/06 in Therapy? Live

Yep, that’s it - just don’t tell them I let it slip, just in case it was a secret ;)

btw, please give a big thank you to Suzanne for picking us up, it was well appreciated!

On behalf of Alan , Pip and myself , can we say a very big thank you to Paul the Promoter , Amanda and Claire & Dean for looking after ‘the Irish’ brilliantly. YOU ROCK !

From transport to and from the ferry , accomodation , beers and food , we were looked after very well. Welsh hospitality at it’s best and you absolutely do your country proud.
Looking forward to returning the favour in future !

Cheers !

I’ll second all that - a superb gig made all the better by hospitality second to none. Congrats to Claire & Dean on their announcement ;)

Thanks to Pip & Jerry (again) for their company. Nice to meet Gimmebackmybrainsaw and his friend, sorry I mean Dad! :D
I was the bloke with silly sideburns, wearing a red top, if others from here spotted me.

Thanks to the band for one of, if not the best T? gigs I’ve seen - high praise indeed!

Re: What would you sing? in Therapy? Live

Big Cave In

With no pressure to sing properly or remember the words, I’d just headbang furiously during the heavy bits, and prowl the stage pulling faces like a demented silly person during the quiet bits :)

Re: AB 17th of May ‘06, Who’s going? in Therapy? Live

Robby, did you remember the words? :)

I haven’t listened to Femtex for years, and would struggle to sing it right now… nevermind onstage with the band (and with beer clouding the memory!) :p

Well done dude!

Cool, Accelerator is back. Michael mentioned recently that they were going to introduce that, Fantasy Bag or Femtex to the set. Looks like Accelerator won.

Wayhey! Femtex got played in Brussels last night, Fantasy Bag next?

Re: Play download UK in Therapy? Live

No, no, no. We should all hate eachother, that’s the way things are historically done. There’s a shitty tradition to uphold here, people!! :p

Seriously though, I do hope they play proper gigs in Belfast & Dublin. I assume they’ll get about 50mins only at the Axl Rose Band gig, but I need more!

I guess they’re not playing Download UK this year cos they played there last year?

Re: T? Play Dublin (Download 09/06/06) in Therapy? Live

Hmmm, there seems to be something strange going on. I successfully ordered my standing ticket on Monday (ticketmaster.ie), after someone else on these boards had said at the weekend that all the standing tickets were gone.

Could it be a glitch in the system (mothertrucker, are you trying to order online)?

It happened to me lately while ordering a ferry ticket to Pembroke, it appeared that the ferry was full. I tried ordering again (just in case), and it worked the second time with no problems.

Re: T? on Guns ‘N’ Roses Linup at Download Ireland in Therapy? Live

I’m guessing they were asked to play Ireland, not asked to play the UK? Also, the fact they played there last year probably was a factor too.

what’s the use of this thread

Nah, I don’t like Skinning Pit much.

I think they should play Screamager, Nowhere and Die Laughing at the start of every set, and again at the end (for people who arrived late and missed the start). They should then play 3 encores - Screamager, Nowhere & Die Laughing.

Re: T? on Guns ‘N’ Roses Linup at Download Ireland in Therapy? Live

:D

Luckily, my particular shift finishes on the Thursday, so I didn’t have to take any time off work!

But when I told the other lads at work here I was going to GNR, they asked “why, are Therapy? playing too?”

They laughed when I said yeah.
