I hope to get to Dublin about 7pm and miss the rush-hour traffic (hopefully!).

Downloaded your album, Nitro, listening to it now and it sounds great. On track 2 now, excellently executed metal!

Great music again - reminiscent of Slo Burn. Much prefer the gruff vocals on the chorus as apposed to the cleaner voice on the verses. Maybe put an effect on the cleaner vocal to dirty it up?

Ha ha, funny you should mention that! That clip was recorded early October when the missus was still pregnant. Since then, I’ve had exactly one rehearsal, lasting about 2 hours max.
Last night has been typical of the last 6 weeks or so: finished work at 1am, got home, immediately fed the baby, changed the shittiest of nappies just after, then stayed downstairs with her until 6am, until the missus got up, I went to bed for a few hours before coming back into work. I’ll do it all again tonight :-)

Listening to the track now Simon, elements of serious stoner rock in there and I’m hearing old QOTSA in the breakdown. Look forward to hearing it again once mixed. Keep me in the loop!

Just thought I’d throw up a rehearsal video from my new band ‘Turning In Circles’.
Influences are Mouth of the Architect, Neurosis, Mastodon, Melvins etc.
We’re on the lookout for a 2nd guitarist, and maybe someone on keys/samples, so our sound is still developing.
Recorded on a phone, it’s difficult to hear the vocals but moderately enjoyable when listened through earphones.

Ha ha! Oops, I got the same when people heard my bands demos (made with a drum machine before I joined), and they all said “really good drums, man”, to which I gotta reply each time “not me, a drum machine”… they say “oh”.

Anyone about in Dublin tomorrow (Tuesday) night? If so, feel free to come along and laugh at us in Captain Americas on Grafton Street. We’ll be on from about 9pm onwards I reckon. 40 minute set.

Mister Hoppy, I’ll send you a cd went it’s ready, gratis! We’re re-recording everything we did with our original vocalist, with the new guy. So, whatever’s on our myspace, feel free to rip :)
The cd will probably have 3 tracks on it, and should be ready after christmas… we’re not exactly fast workers!!
