Re: England Supports Holland on 2008 football championship in Chit-Chat
I was completely wrong about the Dutch team’s chances - they look fantastic. I hope they carry it on and win the thing.
It would help erase the nightmare footie ‘played’ by Greece last time around.
mr self destruct, nice that your missus is from Holland - my missus is from Poland who’ve embarassed themselves at the euro’s so far!
She’s not too impressed. She gave me a bollicking the other night ‘cos I laughed when the 57 year old Austrian chap scored a penalty in added time.

I think you’ll find he is referring to mine.
My dry sardonic wit is a winner with the punters every time!

Re: Mega Music Rock experience 94.. on dvd Wanted.. in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade
Mr Wank,
I only got the 3 track (with interview) recording from TV, is this what you want or do you mean the full version? Not that a more complete version has ever been broadcast as far as I’m aware.

Nope. She’s not too keen on the whole internet scene. Although I did bring her to see T? supporting Motorhead a while ago and she enjoyed it and has been asking when T? are playing in Ireland next. So that’s good!

My original post is now null and void, as I’ve been successfully hen-pecked and had my spirit broken for the last two years.
Only kidding, she’s great really :-D

Re: fantasy euro 2008 in Chit-Chat
I dunno. I had a little chuckle when the now obligatory Dutch in-fighting happened again. This time it’s Schneider and Van Persie. Although Ruud van Horseface is behaving himself so far, surprisingly.
I have a feeling they’ll be on an early flight (train?) home. And France. I have a sneaky feeling for Romania to shock everyone and knock two of the big boys out.

Happy belated birthday Hooch! (damn, I should really check the birthdays section each day!) :-)
And happy fuck-all to those people celebrating birthdays today but are never here on the boards!
I can say that ‘cos none of ‘em will read this and abuse me in retaliation!
Hee hee :-D

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat
Saw Ricky Warwick (ex- The Almighty) playing in my local pub last night. Very good show, just him with an acoustic. The guys got a great voice it has to be said. Hung around chatting with him afterwards, an all round cool guy.
He’s playing in Cork tonight if anyone’s interested!

That was me butters, there are a few lads in the league from my workplace!
I couldn’t be bothered to create a new league just for the workplace so I asked them to join the womble league - should beef up the thing if nothing else.

Re: fantasy euro 2008 in Chit-Chat
Romania topped Holland’s group in qualifying and they’re in good form - far from the whipping boys in that group! I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they progress.

Re: fantasy euro 2008 in Chit-Chat
Quim (POR), Lahm (GER), Metzelder (GER), Kovac (CRO), Carvalho (POR), Ronaldo (POR), Iniesta (SPA), Galasek (CZ), Klose (GER), Torres (SPA), Koller (CZ). SUB: Ambrosini (IT)
That team is the shizzle - you gotta look at the groups each team is in. Portugal & the Czechs are the only dead certs to get out of their groups I think. I reckon Germany could go a long way too. Holland could be a first round casualty.

AS for TV , may I hold up my hand and add Eastenders to my list.
I am shocked. And saddened.
Jerry, you may delete my number from your phone, and my email address from your computer.
If someone was trying to abolish television, all they would have to do to win the argument is just say one word - “eastenders”.
It doesn’t matter how many good arguments for tv there are, that abomination will squash each one. Without fail.
The worst program in the history of ever.

Jerry,
Why wait for cold turkey as the excuse to thrash the missus? Putting the old dear in her place is an all year round fun activity which requires no reason or occasion.
Oh shit, she’s coming, better log out before she reads this… :-o

No, it’s definately not a banana.
But it did squeak when I clicked it and now it’s just run off the table, so I don’t know what’s going on…!

Re: fantasy euro 2008 in Chit-Chat
Great start for me - I can’t even pick my team.
I’ve registered and I’m logged in, but where it says “play now”, I click there and nothing happens because there’s no link.
Is it just me then?

An, have a great birthday! I hope the Wii Fit has arrived!?
I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate your birthday, than exercising.
Er, wait, hang on…
I hope Jan has made a big effort with your pressie? :-)

Re: Divers in Other Bands & Artists
I must say the 4 downloads are quite rocking! Sometimes drifting a little too close to The Killers territory, but very good nonetheless. I’ve stuck ‘em on a cdr with the rest of their singles and it just about constitutes a full album! 39 minutes or so.

Really? Could’ve sworn I saw a completely empty space where the pub was… then again, I may have been a liiiitle bit drunk when I passed it! :-)
Yeah, God bless ‘im. It was a sweet venue.

Re: Therapy? Belast Pilgrimage, where to go? in General Therapy? Topics
Really? That sucks.
A few years ago, I remember looking for the Attic in Dublin (where I first saw Therapy? play), only to discover that it, and the White Horse pub below, had been demolished. I remember feeling a little sad inside. :-(
I guess it wouldn’t be so bad if they rebuilt a new venue there, but it’s probably a branch of the Halifax by now!

Re: Therapy? Belast Pilgrimage, where to go? in General Therapy? Topics
Hmm, maybe the Conor Hall Art College where they played their first gig? Or the Limelight where they played lots of early gigs?
Or you could track down the studio on Lisburn Road where they recorded their first demo?
I would say Homestead Studios (where they recorded Babyteeth) but that’s in Randalstown, which is near Belfast.

Re: Divers in Other Bands & Artists
I’ve sent them on Simon, ignore the first two though, they fucked up for some reason so I re-sent them.
6 tracks altogether - 2 from the split 7” (1995) and 4 from the Chevron EP (1996).

Re: Divers in Other Bands & Artists
Just really bumping this topic back up.
Has anyone got those ‘new’ tracks that were downloadable on the Divers page? I’d like to get them.
I have transferred the 2 tracks that were on their first release (a split 7”) from vinyl to cdr, and also have the “Chevron” cd single, if anyone wants the tracks. I thought they were a good band, including the stuff that Fyfe doesn’t play on. I’d be interested to know if they’ve released anything recently.
