Re: Knitting Factory NYC in Therapy? Live

Check the Live in Cleveland post — NYC was the same set list, except without ‘Die Lauging’ and ‘Evil Elvis’ and with ‘Where Eagles Dare’ in the encore.

Knitting Factory NYC in Therapy? Live

Title: Knitting Factory NYC

Therapy? absolutely slew the crowd at the Knit last night. It was my first time seeing the band, and they abolutely blew me away with their energy and tightness — even the songs I’m not crazy about (such as most of the ones on ‘Suicide Pact…’) were given new life and power on stage. The crowd was small, maybe around 100 people, but VERY enthusiastic. Andy and the rest of the crew seemed to really enjoy themselves, though it must be strange playing the States to so few people. I guess they’ve just resigned themselves to the fact that us Yanks have got our heads up our arses and get on with being one of the most killer live acts out there. I mean, Jesus, look how long it took Motorhead to reach a consistent level of success here! Unforgivable!
The set seemed about the same as the one posted in other reviews of this tour (I can’t recall exactly, as the Sierra Nevada pale ale was flowing), though we did get ‘Where Eagles Dare,’ which they really took to new levels of rock-dom. Overall, I was mighty impressed, and would definitely bring along the unconvinced to future Therapy? shows to make believers out of them. Only two shows left in the States — get your sorry asses out to them!
