Just to point out its on a Saturday as was said there’s DJ’s till about 2am so the best thing is to book a Travelodge room or some cheap B&B and stay over.

There’s usually a pre-gig night organised by some of the board regulars rather than the Damnation organisers. The music is usually at the heavier end rather than Therapy but its an option for the Friday if you were at a loose end.

In theory you can only watch all of one headliner though the times may be staggered a little which may mean you can watch the start or end of one band and the whole set of another one. Hope that makes sense it doesn’t read too well

Right to try and answer a few points on behalf of the organisers (based on what I remember)

Once you are in your in however they did have a section outdoors for smokers to go and have a ciggie they just won’t let you go out and come back two hours later.
The bands will be finished by about 11pm but allowing for over-running best to say 11.30 there’s then a DJ night until 3pm.
There won’t be any backlash to Therapy being on the bill there was a lot of push for them to play last year and I assume with the recording schedule it didn’t fit. Also with the addition of the Rock Sound stage there’s a bit more lets say less extreme music spread across the day

Excellent Therapy announced for the 2009 Damnation Festival. That is the best news for a while all I need now is Neurosis to headline

I’ve heard a rumour albeit not too reliable one that Therapy have been approached about playing the Damnation Festival.

Does anyone know anything about this
