Re: T?20 @ Trans Festival Belfast in General Therapy? Topics
I agree Mully - very few T? fans there :-( - still it was a good night! I loved Rupture Dogs - they were excellent, and Silhoutte were good too. When I saw a cello and double bass on stage I thought it would be crap but was pleasantly surprised.
Good to Michael McK onstage as part of Mike Abstract…

Just an operation on my arm lol - I’m not sure about the cost of pints Colin - don’t drink them! I think it will be just the standard Belfast bar prices…

Re: T?20 @ Trans Festival Belfast in General Therapy? Topics
The bands that are confirmed are Mojo Fury, Axis Of, Kasper Rosa and Rupture Dogs. Who all is heading to this? And, where do you fancy heading for a few drinks first? Duke of York, John Hewitt, The Spaniard etc are all round the corner from the Oh Yeah Centre - I’m going to have to behave myself at the gig itself - so I don’t burst any stitches lol

Not sure Colin - this is the web address http://www.transbelfast.com - says you can buy in person from the Waterfront and Ulster Hall box offices, by phone 028 9033 4455 or online, doesn’t mention the actual venues. You can give them a phone and they should be able to tell you 028 90334400 for certain.

BBC Introducing presents
T?20
Mojo Fury, Axis of, Kasper Rosa, Rupture Dogs and more… Oh Yeah Music Centre
Thursday 22nd July, 8pm
£7
In July 1990, three young men from Larne made a noise, and it echoed round the world. They were Therapy?, and it’s been 20 years since the release of their debut single, Meat Abstract.
At a time when music in Northern Ireland still meant The Undertones and Van Morrison for most people, Therapy? exploded onto the UK music scene, quickly emerging as one of the most exciting and vital bands in the country.
Quickly gaining a commercial foothold, singles such as Teethgrinder and the legendary Shortsharpshock, featuring Screamager put the band – and Northern Irish music – on the map.
Classic albums like Troublegum and Infernal Love remain pivotal albums for 90s rock music, whilst more recent efforts such as Crooked Timber prove that the band still have the edge that took them all the way from Larne and put them on a world stage.
Now, to celebrate 20 years of the music of Therapy?, BBC Introducing in Northern Ireland is inviting 13 bands to share the stage of the Oh Yeah Music Centre to play their renditions of their favourite Therapy? tracks from throughout the career of the Northern Irish rock legends.
Already confirmed are Mojo Fury, Axis Of…, Kasper Rosa and Rupture Dogs with a few surprises to be announced
