Re: Faith No More in Other Bands & Artists
I reckon they’d release anything new on either a major label (for the extra backing that brings) or on Ipecac because it is patton’s label and has all the distro sorted already. But I heard that anything new wouldn’t happen for a while, if at all.

I don’t think Girl Talk is anywhere near as good as 2manydjs, particularly live.

I use a Tascam US-144 for the input and record straight into Adobe Audition.

He never forgot, he just sent in an original track called At The Heart Of It All for Nine Inch Nails’ Further Down The Spiral album. Good track.

More bands should do the remix stuff that NIN have been doing, making the parts available for anyone that wants to make their own. I’d love to do a T? remix.

Sadly, of course, I love FNM, but there’s no way this band are ever getting back together, not with Patton anyway.
Nice.

Re: Faith No More in Other Bands & Artists
I watched them out of interest and they were ok, a lot better than the last time I saw them. If I’d had the choice of watching another stage then I’d probably have turned over after 20 minutes though.

I’m just watching the coverage on the Download site instead, though there isn’t anyone on live until 9. Faith No More are on just now.

I’m sure they did play Ashes to Ashes !
Isn’t that the one that goes ” Smiling - with the mouth of the ocean ” or whatever ?
They never played Ashes To Ashes at the Brixton gig, I’m sure that’s what they meant.
Anyway, I’ve added a FLAC copy of the gig to http://www.themusicthatnobodylikes.tk
As for nobody picking up that Poker Face was Chinese Arithmetic, I’m sure most people just don’t want to tell you that they already knew what song it was due to the fact the PF lyrics didn’t start until 30 seconds into an easily identifiable Chinese Arithmetic.

I’ve added a couple of FNM live vids to my site, and hopefully someone in the world will be ripping the download webcast if they’re on it (still down as TBC).
Anyway, here is the link to my site. http://www.themusicthatnobodylikes.tk

Re: Faith No More in Other Bands & Artists
I got told about the reunion last year, I was hoping that they’d have sneakily performed at ATP in December when it was curated by Patton and The Melvins - that was a great festival.
Brixton sold out in under a minute. Bill Gould gave away a guest pass on Twitter to the first person to name his favourite Eastenders character, Max Branning.
The strong rumour is that they’re the Sunday night headliner for the NME tent at Reading/Leeds, I’m hoping that’s true.

Re: Therapy? on twitter in General Therapy? Topics
Maybe it’s different if you’re following a lot of random people just for the hell of it, or expecting band members to be more than just a normal person.
Most of the people in bands that I follow are people that I actually know, or have an interest in the opinions of. I reckon that twitter is pretty useless unless you’re seeing posts by people who either pass on more information about things that interest you, or they’re people you don’t have a realistic view of and they’re posting everyday stuff - making them more like a real person.

Surprisingly no… I actually lost respect for Trent from NIN for it.
To be fair, he did just use Twitter to help raise about $1,000,000 for charity in under a week.

I also missed it, due to being unable to buy things online. That’ll be changing soon, not sure if that’s a good idea though.

Richard Littlejohn. Cunt, not someone who works as a cunt.
I’ve been to see Stewart Lee quite a few times, always brilliant - hoping he’ll be in the comedy tent at Leeds again this year.

Might as well as for a secular version of Merry Christmas.

Re: Secular alternatives to ‘bless you’ in Chit-Chat
Don’t say anything then. If the phrase bothers you so much I guess you’ve also eliminated terms like “Oh God”, “Jesus Christ”, “Angel”, “Blessing In Disguise”, “Devil” etc… from your vocabulary.
I’ve never been religious but I still say “Bless You” as relates to sneezing, though I don’t say “God Bless You” - which I’d say is the proper, religious response.
Saying anything to people after they sneezed has it’s roots in religion, rather than being a social nicety, so there really can’t be a secular response.

Re: Therapy? Kerrang Podcast in General Therapy? Topics
Depends how you do it. When my old band did some cymbal overdubs the drummer just sat listening to the original drum track on the headphones and only played the cymbals.

My point is if you did a fill 5 minutes into Magic Mountain and did two cymbal hits - yould have to play the exact same fill at the exact same time.
Why? On the 2nd take you’d only be playing the cymbals, you wouldn’t play the whole fill or the drums would be recorded by the cymbal mics.
