Re: a few questions, sir… in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Well there’s the hilarious ‘Laughing CD’ which is a digipak that plays a sample as you open it… mine still worked when I checked it :)

Re: (Trigger Inside+Nowhere)Remixes 12” = CD in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

I think you should put some kind of notice on the cover because now it looks like an official release on CDM which may confuse fans or record shops should they ever get it. Why not just send the mp3s to the webmaster to get them included on the rare sound clips page?
I already have this 12’ a long time so I guess I could make mp3s of them but since you already have them in digital form…

Re: wet wet wet in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

I have one as well. Not sure if it’s a promo, I rarely see any jukeboxes around but it looks like one that would go in nicely as it has two bands on it. At the time I bought it at a record fair, don’t think it cost me much, about US$5 or so. Might be lucky because I haven’t seen one since.

Re: a few things… in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Keep those drum sticks on you, I don’t know if Fyfe used special ones but he was (is? :) a great drummer. Especially if you have a pair, that makes ‘em useful as well ;-) I generally don’t value signatures much if I don’t know the story behind them but getting them yourselves after a great concert is priceless.

By the way, if anyone knows where to get a pair of Shaw sticks Graham Hopkins edition (new ones I mean even though slightly used ones by the man himself would be fine ;), mail me whaley@mondopaddy.com!

Re: HAMFC on ebay. in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

My bootleg HAMFC is rather awful, and there’s the Record Collector
article saying Michael got the bootleg while on tour with a dodgy
picture of himself and awful sound quality. I may hope the original
sounds better. No idea how much better though, because I’ve never
heard the original. The original Meat Abstract single sounds a lot
better than the bootleg HAMFC, anyway.
I don’t know about a Meat Abstract bootleg. Is that a copy of the 7’?
Any obvious difference in sleeve or record?

Re: Therapy? costs in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Paypal accepts credit cards and doesn’t cost much, it is like a bank
account. BidPay also accepts credit cards but costs a lot because what
they do is print out a Money Order and send it (by good old snail mail) to the recipient who must then go to some post office or bank
(dunno) to get the money. Both work fine, but BidPay just costs the
buyer more. In my experience when I buy a cd from the US through eBay, usually the cost of packaging/shipping/handling is more than the cd itself…

Re: Am I going fucking insane????? in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

You must mean the bootleg version, right? :)
There’s one with Michael on the front, that’s the bootleg. I have that one.

Re: Official Nausea Bag in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Okay, got an answer from Mr.Cairns himself ;)

quote:
the nausea bag was given out by a&m in america to radio stations, record stores and pluggers in 1992 as part of a promotional campaign for the nurse album.

My guess is that some record stores simply took the bag to use with any T? item they would sell, therefor mine had Teethgrinder. Another guess then would be that at least a few hundred existed.

Re: practically non-existent T? stuff in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

The Isolation 12’ simply has ‘ISO12-A’ etched in on one side, and ‘ISO12-B’ on the other side, and is on regular black vinyl with a white center and stamped on it is THERAPY? and ISOLATION.
If I’ve ever seen white labels, I guess this is it :) No idea how rare it is, I bought it at a record fair for a decent price.

Re: Official Nausea Bag in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Mine is not so good, it has been torn a little, but still I’m happy with it. I do have the Nausea promo as well so I could reunite them ;-)

Re: practically non-existent T? stuff in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

I have an Isolation promo 12’, it’s in a black sleeve with a hole in the middle so you can see the label, which is just white with a ‘stamped-like’ ISOLATION on it.

Re: Official Nausea Bag in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Yes, I’d say Nausea would best fit in the bag :) I believe the Record Collector article said it came with Nurse, but I’m not sure.

Official Nausea Bag in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Title: Official Nausea Bag

Hi,

I got this ‘official nausea bag’ from the States off eBay. It has been mentioned in the Record Collector article, but that’s the only place I found it so far. It’s a brown paper bag from some medical supplies company (by the looks of it it might as well have been a grocery bag :-) with a b&w copy stuck on (extensive x-ray investigations have revealed that there must be some sickeningly uninteresting motive underneath) that says ‘official nausea bag’ and has the nurse cover picture. Inside mine was the Teethgrinder single (regular one, same as the other digipak ones I have) and a yellow copied discount coupon.

Does anyone have more information about this? Looking at the enclosed coupon makes me believe it was given away at record stores or something..

Re: Demos in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

I hope we will be able to hear the songs without spending too much money on them. I’m sure Therapy? won’t mind real fans listening to their old demos and I think they will mind people ripping off others for tapes that could be fakes. By the way, in the old Record Collector article, the tapes were set at much lower price than the Meat Abstract 7’, no idea why, maybe also because it’s easy to fake?

Re: Stories re-release + more for sale/trade in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

A friend/housemate still has 2 extra copies of the Dutch version Stories single for trade. Prefers to trade against Therapy? or Asian Dub Foundation material. I also have an extra copy of the Shortsharpshock EP (digipak CD) and the Pitchshifter remix CD, for those interested. An updated discography will soon be found at http://mondopaddy.com (a new name for the first ever Therapy? web site ;-)

Re: 25 rarest tracks - heres my list… in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Yes, I do have Hunks of burnin’ love but as it’s on a 10’ I have to sample it through my stereo set and right now it’s not hooked up. Should be fairly easy to do though, so hang on :) I also think I have Bad Mother so I could get it as well. I don’t have the tapes, though :)

Re: Prices of the demos and shit in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

I used to play Slayer too slow, until a friend told me it was the wrong speed. I prefered the slow version though ;-)

Re: Prices of the demos and shit in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

I paid 40 UKP for the Meat Abstract 7’ at a record fair in Utrecht, a few years back. And I don’t regret it :) I’ve never seen the demo cassettes, those white labels or the original have a merry fuckin’ christmas single (I do have the bootleg). Other than that I have quite a lot, but there’s always people who have more ofcourse :)

Re: 25 rarest tracks - heres my list… in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Hi,

No I can’t have been drunk because I rarely drink (then again, if I do drink, you never know what happens). I do remember someone telling me about the site, but I’m not sure if I’ve seen it before. I’ve been so busy with the band I know personally called Krezip (Dutch people will know them) and going to Pearl Jam in the UK/Ireland that I let my love for Therapy? slip for a while, even though I did buy the 10-year plan cd when it came out. I did take pictures in Rotterdam, some are even pretty cool. I’ll look them up! I guess seeing Michael at Werchter then hearing about the Zottegem show and seeing this site woke something up in me :)

Re: 25 rarest tracks - heres my list… in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

I have at least Hunks of burnin’ love and that Kiddie version original, so I can make MP3’s out of them.

By the way, why didn’t I know this page before? Damn I must have been sleeping. I hereby promise I will update my pages as well :-)

Regards, Whaley.
