Re: Ever walked out of a gig? in Other Bands & Artists

Surprising to hear The Wildhearts shows being bad. Normally they are really at live. Maybe that day guys had taken too much drugs.

I want walk out occasionally from shows, as a journalist I gotta also interviews with bands I can’t stand.

Re: Jurassic Rock, Mikkeli, Finland in Therapy? Live

1-2-3-4.

Now I had time to log-in to forum again. Here’s text of interview I did with guys to Pohjalainen newspaper. I did this for regular newspaper, so it is why there are told also basic infos etc.
Gentlemen told they do not have before told publicly about plans to record live album, they will record 5-10 shows and release album in 2010.

Sorry this is only in Finnish. Translation would take a lot time.
I do include for this mail also link to page where can order that my new book Ramones: Soundtrack Of Our Lives, it has great interview with Andy:
http://kauhajokinyt.fi/~jplaitio/kolmoskirja.html

Newspaper interview begin:

Terapeuttista musiikkia
Therapy? tarjosi raskaahkosti rokkaavaa hoitoterapiaansa Suomessa viiden vuoden tauon jälkeen. Mikkelissä Jurassic Rockissa Therapy?:n kappaleista ihmisiä hyvällä tuulella pitivät Nowheren ja Storiesin kaltaiset menevät hitit, ennen kuin setin päätti synkeänkaunis Diane.
MIKKELI
Jari-Pekka Laitio-Ramone
Pohjois-Irlannissa parisenkymmentä vuotta sitten perustettu Therapy? on nauttinut Suomessa kohtuullisen hyvää suosiota bändin 1990-luvun kiihkeidenkin vuosien jälkeen. Nurse-albumin kautta hoito alkoi ensin tehota Suomessa 1992. Runsaasti eri medioissa huomiota saivat Troublegumin (1994) kappaleet. Troublegumilta lohkaistiin peräti viisi singleä: Nowhere, Trigger Inside, Die Laughing, Isolation ja Femtex.

Crooked Timber
Therapy?:lta ilmestyi viime maaliskuussa kahdestoista albumi, Crooked Timber. Albumin ensisingleksi valittiin radiosoittoa ajatellen harvinaisen pitkä, 5,5-minuuttinen nimibiisi.

Livelevy suunnitelmissa
Tässä haastattelussa Therapy? mainitsi ensimmäistä kertaa julkisesti aikeistaan nauhoittaa keikkoja ensi vuonna julkaistavaa livealbumia varten.
- Tuon teemme 20-vuotisjuhlamme kunniaksi. Uutta studioalbumia aiomme ryhtyä myös kirjoittamaan alkuvuodesta 2010.
Yksi eksoottisin Therapy?:n esiintymispaikka on Réunion. Réunion on Ranskan mertentakainen hallintoalue Intian valtamerellä, Madagaskarin itäpuolella.
- Se oli erikoinen ja ihana paikka. Huomasimme Réunionissa olevan alakulttuurirokkiskenen, myhäilevät Cairns, McKeegan ja Cooper.

Re: Green Day in Other Bands & Artists

Average Green Day album. As Squall said, Know Your Enemy is weak compared to the rest of them. There would have had much better choices for first single.
Some great and harder punk tracks are Murder City and Horseshoes And Handgrenades-

Re: JP Laitio-Ramone`s 3rd Ramones book in Other Bands & Artists

Amorphis set was one of the best in this year. I did longer interview with Esa and Tomi of Amorphis (to Pohjalainen and local newspaper), this was their eight show at Nummirock.
Hopefully we will meet in Tammerfest. There is beside of it 3-6 festivals which I will attend. My plans of Jurassic Rock are a bit open, but if I come, it is then always better to meet personally with artists who are in a book as they might have some questions etc.

So I´m a T? “tourmanager” now, hohoohoo, thanxx JP for that compliment if you´re reading this;) Wish I was a tourmanager, I´d book T?hem a full Finland tour from Helsinki to Rovaniemi or even norther;) Richard is the REAL tourmanager not me;) >order the book and you will know what I´m talkin´about;)

1-2-3-4 thanks Pete of all your comments, and of your help to spread word of the book to the Therapy? fans. Result of Andy Cairns’ interview is pretty extensive, and it was good to include that photo where Kati and you are with the Therapy? fans.

And sure I am happy that Ricky Warwick sent that photo to the book where he does play with Andy in front of Johnny Ramone’s statue.

Pete, sadly we did not had chance to discuss yesterday, I saw you being in first row in the audience at Nummirock.

Agreed, but if an artist painted the same, simple piece over and over for 30 years and didn’t progress or change much, you’d think that was odd, no?

Of the some reason it is easy to see that you do not have listen any Ramones albums released in 80’s or 90’s, or then you doesn’t know nothing about the music.

You seem to try to tell you has heard all the Ramones albums… Can you compare albums like Pleasant Dreams, Brain Drain, and Mondo Bizarro? I really would like to hear how much similarities you found of their productions etc.
