That’s a brilliant acoustic version , almost romantic even.

Re: Andy live on Phantom Radio tomorrow in General Therapy? Topics

Great bit of radio , even possible to view it live from the Phantom website.
Andy in excellent form today it has to be said.

Picked a surprising playlist of 5 of his favo songs that were aired :
Rustie - After Light
Blondie - Dreaming
Young Hunting - Embers from the Pyre
Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen
Bomb The Bass - Bug Powder Dust

Ok, the following are live shots (not entirely in keeping with my original post!) but are professional and certainly the best photos of the very early days:

Been in contact with Karl Burke very recently , he’s still a ( professional ) photographer these days and been trying to get him into the Vicar Street gig for a new set of pics.
Not sure of it’s going to happen.
His capture of Mikehell jumping up is legendary , it has been my wallpaper on the laptop for a while now.

By the way , when cleaning out some old stuff I found an envelope full of those OCFA - gig announcement posters again. The onces the record label sent out that you could fill in yourself and stick across your city.
They’re blank / as new so if anyone wants some let me know pls.
Alan , you already own some of these , right ?

On the same spring clean I rediscovered my old grey/red gemmill fleece jacket and Therapy? ‘crazy name - crazy guys’ t-shirt that went missing years ago !
Both might make a reappearance next week.

Re: Get well soon Diamond Dave in General Therapy? Topics

Anyone know if Dave will be joining for the Irish leg of the tour next week ?

On a complete sidenote , was watching that Hairy Bikers show on the Beeb last night and thought Diamond Dave is the spitting image of , well , his name is Dave too.

Re: Therapy? ‘s Hall of Fame/Hall of Shame in General Therapy? Topics

I would like to open up the debate again to have the infamous ‘Hall of Shame’ renamed into the ‘Hall of Slightly Lesser Fame’ and propose a members’ vote on this serious matter.

Maybe our Wise and Glorious Leader Kim-Jong Hooch , may thousands rainbows appear wherever she goes , can enlighten us mere mortals how to set up a poll on this.

Re: T-shirts more expensive than a CD?!?! in General Therapy? Topics

Why is anyone surprised ?
I went to the shopping centre yesterday and hey presto , the t-shirt I bought in there was more expensive than the CD I got in HMV as well.

If we’re gonna start topics here about the bleeding obvious this site better move onto a bigger server.

Was going to say Glen Ballard for Jagged Little Pill until you mentioned an unusual country

Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange indeed , producer of AC/DC’s Highway To Hell and then notoriously married Shania Twain and produced her Come On Over ( most selling album by female artist ).

As for the football question : he wrote the song Ipswich Ipswich Get That Goal for the 1978 FA Cup Final. Ipswich beat Arsenal 1-0 that year ( Roger Osborne goal )

Re: Get well soon Diamond Dave in General Therapy? Topics

Seeing as football has to be involved too - for more bonus points : what’s his connection to the FA Cup Final ?

Re: Get well soon Diamond Dave in General Therapy? Topics

Who produced the best selling studio album by a female artist ever ?

For a bonus point in which unusual country was he born ?

Hope you have a speedy recovery Dave.
Can second what Chris says that gigs just aren’t the same without you present.
All the best.

Re: “A Brief Crack Of Light” cover, tracklisting and release date revealed! in General Therapy? Topics

On a related note , anyone else feeling sorry for the baldy guy that had to do the photos for the booklet ?

First they stick him up to his middle in muck and that water he is lying in looks to be bitter cold. Hope he didn’t catch a cold !

Re: “A Brief Crack Of Light” cover, tracklisting and release date revealed! in General Therapy? Topics

Got my copy in HMV in Blanchardstown yesterday.

On a first positive note , was gonna check in the shop where they usually put all the T? stuff - in the back of the shop under letter T in the pop/rock or metal section.
Surprised to see it was prominently displayed on the front wall in the New Releases - HMV recommended section , standing proudly inbetween Lana Del Rey and One Direction !
A small thing maybe but good to see anyway and it looked like quite a few had been taken off the shelf already.

On an initial spin at home , Marlow just stands out for me and it’s easy to see it catch on as a crowd pleaser live.
It had Mini-Cuch ( 6 years old ) singing woohoohoohoooo for the afternoon anyway.

Re: A Brief CracK Of Light in General Therapy? Topics

Absolutely love The Buzzing.
Great sort of hallucinating bridge part in it , would probably even sound even better after a spliff. :)

Great flow to the album as well , the tracks complement each other in that order and it makes the album as a whole better than just the sum of the individual tracks.

Mea culpa , I missed that memo from his evil priestness.

Means this trip will be just that little less epic.

Two gigs in one day ? in General Therapy? Topics

Just saw there are 2 gigs planned for 4th of August , Lierop ( at 6pm ) and one later on in Raversbeuren , some 300km down the road in Germany.

Absolutely no idea how they’re gonna do this , but I take it this will be by car , after all most of it will be over German Autobahn where you can seriously step on it.

Was planning on heading to Lierop to start with , might consider the epicness of 2 in 1 day now.

Or anyone up for renting a helicopter ? :)

Re: “A Brief Crack Of Light” cover, tracklisting and release date revealed! in General Therapy? Topics

Was looking forward to buying it in the record store but just heard I will be working in Killarney the whole week from 6 to 10 February.
The only record store there that I could find online ( Roxy ) seemed to have closed down so I guess I’ll have to wait till I’m back in Dublin.

Patience is a virtue they say…

Re: “Living In The Shadow…” video coming tomorrow! in General Therapy? Topics

Great video , does the song justice so fair play to all involved.

The song really has the vibe of an obscure Tarantino movie.

Had a rather ‘eventful’ flight back to Ireland on Tuesday thanks to this hurricane weather.

If anything I now fully understand where the inspiration for Why Turbulence? came from ! :)

Re: Anyone remember this early T? pic ? in General Therapy? Topics

Actually got a really nice e-mail from the guy who took the picture.
Says it’s one of his favo pics he’s ever taken , and that’s quite a few. Asks if I want a print of the pics , so I’m deffo going for that.

Re: Anyone remember this early T? pic ? in General Therapy? Topics

Nope , definitely Michael , check the other pics in the set. Dark long sleeve under the excellent white Descendents ‘Milo Goes to College’ tee.

Re: Anyone remember this early T? pic ? in General Therapy? Topics

Brilliant Alan , you’re a star.

Although I should have known a quick search around the WoM would have been helpful.

Was just asking as I just came across that one pic and put it up as my wallpaper on the laptop.
Then had some people asking where it was.

Thanks again.

Anyone remember this early T? pic ? in General Therapy? Topics

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2404/3532958243_85a05fd46f.jpg

Came across this on the web somehow , a very young Fyfe on drums and looks like Michael flying around there.

Would anyone know where and when this pic was taken ?
