Damn that was difficult.
Feels a bit like all your friends are on a deserted island , only three can be saved and you have to pick them.
After much consideration :
Lonely Cryin’ Only
If It Kills Me
Die Laughing

Re: Michael McK in General Therapy? Topics
The Evil Priest should stick to the things he does best , playing bass and spitting in the air.
Singing is Andy’s job.

Have a look at number 40 in the list and the 5 that Kerrang lists right behind him…
The mind boggles !

After Friday , my age and the number of times I’ve seen T? play will be exactly the same !

Maybe it’s called Outro because they want you play the album backwards.
You know , just so can hear all the hidden messages of Satan.

Re: get T? back in the top 40!!! in General Therapy? Topics
After a look at the top 40 I don’t think it’s anything to do with how many CDs you sell anymore.
A record company with influence and hyping stuff up ( MTV ) more like.
A look at today’s top 10 makes me very sad. Any artists with ‘featuring’ in their name should be shot !!!

Re: OCFA what do you think? in General Therapy? Topics
To my surprise HMV in Dublin already had them in the racks on Saturday. Got 2 of them yesterday and so far I like what I hear.
Bit early to give my favo song , maybe after listening another couple of times. But overall a very good listening experience and some potential live favourites there.

Re: best song in General Therapy? Topics
Rust , and for some weird reason a very soft spot for Lonely Cryin’ Only. Maybe it’s the telephone intro but I just love that song.

The latest entry into Cuchulain’s Casa of Love is very much impressed with T?.
To the stage that when I can’t find a certain T? CD her car stereo is the first thing I look.

ahh “The Voice” do you remember that one.
Good auld 80’s number.
Think I have his album ( Whispering Jack ? ) somewhere under a pile of dust with the said song on it. Bought about 20 years ago in a romantic mood.
Got a spin twice in all that time…
As for the US charts , very scary , although having Johnny Cash in there makes up for Barry Manilow big time ;)

Re: One Cure Cover in General Therapy? Topics
Well , I like the cover but I seem to be one of a few.
Maybe it’s the age , we old-schoolers like a cover where we can at least make out what it is supposed to be , and this is undoubtedly a woman’s face. And one of the not-so-happy kind even , which makes it more ‘metal’ , hell yes!
Looks more like this topic started off with one individual not liking it and all the rest just followed his example to avoid a debate on modern day Art and the likes.
One thing , if you think OCFA’s cover is bad , I suppose you pick some old vinyl out of your da’s attic and look up what Manowar’s ‘Anthology’ or Black Sabbath’s ‘Sabotage’ originally looked like. Now THAT was rubbish.

Re: T? sales figures? in General Therapy? Topics
Sales figures I think are pretty good over all for T?
How the guys are doing money-wise I have absolutely no interest in and , as said before , is not our business.
What matters to me is that T? could probably have done better financially if they would have sold out to a bigger record company and struck a multi-million deal.
However , there are still bands like T? that are in it for the love of making music ( call it artistic ambition ) and not to make as much bucks as possible by bending over to all and sundry.
For that , brothers , I have the utmost respect.
Now bring on that CD and tour !

Agreed there !
Being the self-confessed enemies of the music business doesn’t help them , but I’m sure the reality show The Greenways would be at least , ehum , ‘interesting’.

Oh yeah, did I mention that I’m going to those gigs?
The gigs in Holland, that is?
