Already wondering how long T? will get to play as support and what will be on the setlist.

An hour at least would be nice and with it being a Motorhead gig I wouldn’t be surprised if the boys leave aside the slower ones and blast the place with a freaky set. Here’s hoping.

Sound Cellar is great for CDs. The guy running it also is a bit of a Rovers fan , nicer fella you’ll never meet.

As for getting into the standing area in Olympia , last time I was there I just spoke to some people inside who were going in as a group and all had standing tickets.
Total strangers , but that aside.
Just ask them to all go in and have one of them coming out again taking one of his friends’ tickets.
Enter on that ticket and buy the supportive guy a pint.

Always good having Koskenkorva in the house. On occasions my Finnish mate drops by with his copy of Tuntematon Sotilas and he refuses to watch it without a bottle of ‘Kossu’.

Shouldn’t be any problem taking pics. Have seen people with small digital cameras in the Olympia and the Ambassador on numerous occasions ( DeepSleep for example ).

Then there’s always the loads of people standing in the front of a venue with their mobiles in the air :mad:

Had tickets for most of the gigs that week but have sold all of them off bar the Therapy? / Motorhead one. No way I’m missing that one !

Still can’t believe I’m missing out on all the fun and games because stupid me had the weird idea of booking some boring holiday trip to the Caribbean right after the T? gig :D

Partly agree with souldoubt on this one.
Now I really enjoy all the gigs as much as most people do and sure the guys can pick whatever songs they like playing most , but a bit of variation would be nice every now and then. A bit of artistic ambition from the band if you would like to call it that , when they put a tune in that hasn’t been played in ages.

At the other side it’s understandable they go for the proven recipe. Loads of times I’ve been to gigs with friends who are fans but not as mad as most people on here , and they love the setlist and all the songs they recognise and can sing along from Troublegum.

Personally I don’t really mind too much as I’ll enjoy myself no matter what. If only they would throw in If It Kills Me a bit more often :(

Will be there with girlfriend and one of my best mates who will also attend the gig.

Could suggest Casa Cuchulain for pre gig gargles but it’s a bit out of the area , so best place imo would be the Foggy Dew Pub just around the corner from the Olympia ( 2 mins walk )
As it is a bit of a rock pub I do however expect it to be jammy full with Motorhead fans and the likes.

Any suggestions welcome though.

Just back from my holidays ( Sweden will never be the same again ) and already noticed the gig is switched to the Olympia. Happy enough with that as I’m not a big fan of the Point and Olympia is easy to get to.
I smell a Wombles meet and greet beforehand in the Foggy Dew Pub , just around the corner from the Olympia.

Also , the venue for the afterparty is a give-away now *grins secretly* :D

Maybe showing my age here but Strike of the Beast has always been of off my all time classic metal songs.

As for Vader , last time I saw them I ended up in hospital. Had to promise my mum never to get into all that mad carry-on in the pit again.
