Re: Whats the next gig you want to go to? in Chit-Chat
Going to the A Day In The Life Festival in Dublin in September.
Small set-up in the Luggala estate in Wicklow , with ao Kraftwerk and Soulwax playing.
On the guestlist even so will be nice to have a peep backstage as well.

Re: In the news… in Chit-Chat
Just read a very funny item about the Russian airforce dumping a bag of cement powder from a plane in the hope it would burst open and dissolve a cloud , so it would give better weather on the 12th of June when they celebrate the end of the Soviet Union.
No surprise the bag didn’t burst and went through a roof in a Moscow suburb.
I’d say bring back the old Soviets , such amateurism wasn’t heard of in their days.

Still a long time away but in December Billy Bragg is doing a gig in Dublin and I would sell the house to be there.
Hope he plays lots of the old shit from the Riff Raff days.
Sure mrs h should remember them well.

Dead Man’s Shoes in Chit-Chat
Any fans here of this movie ? ( looking at all you Midlanders )
The Irish Film Institute is showing it later this month , with an introduction by Paddy Considine himself who will also attend a Q&A session afterwards.
After booking tickets for that one now as I’m an admirer of Shane Meadows’ work.

Alcohol also helps , it’s easier convincing girls to like something after a beer-fuelled night ! ;)

Congrats Gav & Jess. So there is hope for software developers after all ! ;)
Seriously , a warm welcome soon to the community of T? da’s and ma’s , we’re a great bunch really.
One tip from experience : better wait a while before you let the youngwan listen to any T? songs containing the F-word.
They tend to remember and repeat these things at the most unwelcoming moments !

that was the australian version right? It was a bit more drama filled and aimed at an older audience. There was a totally hot chick in it tho i remember!
Now we’re talking !!
Dunno which one you mean… although Jodie was gorgeous and Katarina fired up ( Greek temperament ) , it has to be Danielle ( the one with the cute freckles ) as the absolute number one.
Always saw myself as a bit of Con in the series , he was way cooler than Drazic.

Jerry, you may delete my number from your phone, and my email address from your computer.
If someone was trying to abolish television, all they would have to do to win the argument is just say one word - “eastenders”.
It doesn’t matter how many good arguments for tv there are, that abomination will squash each one. Without fail.
The worst program in the history of ever.
Is it because our city folk went with our times and took on the real soapies and you’re still stuck back with The Riordans and Glenroe in your neck of the woods ? ;)
You should really give it a try these days , Alan , there’s a whole range of plots coming up these days with Roxy keeping her baby and Heather and Minty’s marriage and all. It gives the lads in work something to talk about with the football season at an end now !
