Re: What song should T? cover? in General Therapy? Topics
Ramones’ Sheenagh is a Punkrocker would be nice.
As for The Pixies I’d prefer Isla de Encanta but I don’t think Andy’s voice will fit too well.

Re: Monday Morning at work in Chit-Chat
Out drinking all weekend and spent the Sunday out in the lovely bay resort that is Bray to see my favo team play. Luckily a win and we drank the whole town dry consequently.
Unfortunately the whole country here has a bank holiday weekend and I’m the only one in at work. It’s bad having a hangover but having to go to work without any public transport and no car is even worse.
Thank God I’ve a bottle of Buckfast waiting for me to get home !

Re: Best guitar solos in General Therapy? Topics
Slayer’s whole Reign in Blood album is like one big Kerry King solo.
Best. Album. Ever.

Re: Stage dive gone wrong in Leeds in Chit-Chat
Ouch.
Reminds me of a stage dive horribly gone wrong at a Dark Angel gig in the old Noorderligt venue in Tilburg years ago. One dude landing on his lower back and transported to hospital with a torn kidney.
My mum still can’t sleep when she knows I’m at a gig :D

Re: come and die in General Therapy? Topics
Time to dig up some old video cassettes. Used to tape some of the Judgment Night videoclips from the old MTV and still have the tape lying around somewhere.
With Ice-T / Slayer and Booyaa T.R.I.B.E if memory serves me correctly and afaik also Helmet / House of Pain.

Re: Please Come Back To Shetland in Therapy? Live
As someone who’s been to the Shetlands I can’t see why anyone in their right mind would ever want to go back there.
Favourite day of the year there is summer :D

Re: Renting properties in Chit-Chat
Dunno if there’s anything in your contract about a notice period , hoocha.
But even if there’s not I think it’s a standard 2 months notice period for a landlord to give to you and 1 month for a tennant to give the landlord.
I do stand to be corrected on this but I’m in the same boat as you when it comes to renting and I remember something being told to me by the building manager.

Blame myself for this but the word NO seems to be erased from my vocabulary when I’m drunk , and that’s normally when people ask…

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat
Thanks to a couple of Wombles to keep me updated on T? at Werchter and for reminding me I wasn’t there and you were.
Got my rock fix instead with a gig by Still Life in The Vaults in Dublin.
To my big disappointment I just missed a support band doing a very good cover of Screamager and was told so by about anyone that I knew

Almost too embarassed to tell this but I plead guilty to actually have a CD by Chris DeBurgh ( - Live in Dublin ).
Okay , start the banter , I fully deserve it…

Re: richard whiteley (countdown) RIP in Chit-Chat
What about that infamous moment when both contestants came up with the word “wankers” from Carol’s assorted letters, with the second contestant smilingly declaring when asked what word he got “a pair of wankers, Richard”. Amazingly they showed it and, needless to say, C4 recieved a record number of complaints!

Re: REM on Tour 05 in Other Bands & Artists
Saw them in Ardgillan Castle in Dublin last Sun night.
Got a freebie ticket from The Devlins , who played support.
Not a big fan , but think they did pretty good.
‘Its the end of the world as we know it…’ goes down very well after a day of drinking beer in the sun !
