Re: Vertigo by U2 = Isolation by THERAPY? in Other Bands & Artists

Actually gonna see U2 on Saturday night , does that mean I’ll be banned from the WoM ? ;)

Hoocha , although I do hate RW with a vengeance , I used to live next door to one of his songwriters ( the one that wrote Angels ) and he is an absolute sound bloke that used to drink in my place occasionally and thus got to listen to a considerable amount of Therapy? So there you go !

Re: Good Films in Chit-Chat

Saw ‘Basic’ on dvd the other night and it was pretty good imo.

Might go and see Mr.& Mrs.Smith this weekend with the missus. Some colleagues say it’s okay but I suspect they just enjoyed watching La Jolie.

Re: you and your car in Chit-Chat

Have been driving around in a company car lately and a nice one too ( Nissan X-Trail ).
Good thing is there’s a CD player in it !

10 Years Ago… in Other Bands & Artists

Title: 10 Years Ago…

Tomorrow , June 14 , it’s exactly 10 years ago that Rory Gallagher died.

Still think he’s one of the best ever and a musical genius.
There’s a band called Sinnerboy doing a tribute gig in Whelans in Dublin , think I’ll pop in to have a beer in memory of the big man.

Set up a violence camp outside her practice.

Will be joining you soon , I just LOVE violence camps!

Re: death to my namesake!! in Chit-Chat

Watch that Cape Fear movie.

If that doesn’t give you any ideas what to do , nothing will.

Re: Will you buy the new Therapy? single? in General Therapy? Topics

What a bunch of moaners on here , and I thought I was on a Forum with T? fans…

I wouldn’t care if they put a fart and a burp on a single and the only way of getting it was to go pick it up yourself in an Afghanistan cave , I’d still buy it and go get one if it was Therapy ?

Yes , most definitely !!!

Re: What’s EveryOne Listening To in Other Bands & Artists

System Of A Down - Mezmerize.

Great stuff and feel like turning the volume up , but unfortunately I’m in work and some heads already turned to see who the primate is.

Re: Germany - Northern Ireland Today in Chit-Chat

There were about 150 Germans visiting the Dublin derby Shamrock Rovers - Bohemians on Friday night.
They must all have had a brilliant night as they were all gee-eyed , got to witness some fights and all they said was WUNDERBAR !

how did you know??!!!

Used to be into that sort of thing but it doesn’t do anything for me anymore - I’m more into semicolons now.

I also had a brief inverted commas period… but that was kind of… uhhhh… lugubrious.

Re: HaPpY jUnE in Chit-Chat

I’m presuming that the 3 full stops, periods, dots, whatever you wish to call them represent the pointed but precarious nature of our current existence. The full stops clearly and unequivocally state that we are at an end, and even endeavours, successfully, in this critic’s opinion, to suggest that this particular end is finite.

However, therein, lies the message of hope. The vast white spaces that surround the “dots” suggest waters not yet chartered. They give, at least, the appearance of hope. A brighter future, perhaps. Vast pastures not yet grazed. Whole unexplored prairies of the mind that are yet to be charted, never mind tamed.

The stark luminality of this monochromatic message will dazzle many for years to come, I have no doubt. It has been brought to us, as if by an angel. For that we should count ourselves lucky.

Re: New merchandise in General Therapy? Topics

Hopefully T? will be selling some of my favo Therapy?-gear again as retro-stuff in future.

My favo shirt ever is the one with ’ crazy name - crazy guys ’ on it and the band name in flames above it.
Class shirt !
And the grey fleece jacket with the gemil on the heart and Therapy? written in the neck is still my favourite jacket that I even wear to work.

Hope they will be selling these in the future again , up till now I’m still wearing the old ones to gigs but they’re starting to show signs of holes in it after wearing it for about ( guess ) 8 years or so.

Re: Across The Line to stage secret gigs in Therapy? Live

During the weekends there’s works done on the railroad just north of Dublin. Which means bus from Dublin to Drogheda and back.

If you’re training up on Friday though, you should have no probs going straight from Dublin Connolly to Belfast.

Souldoubt , if I don’t see you around in Belfast and you’re back in Dublin on Sun night , gimme a buzz and we’ll go for a pint !

Re: Football in Chit-Chat

Maldini should have let that ball go in the first minute and have Jaap Stam tap it in.

Not in the least because I had a tenner in the bookies on Stam for the first goalscorer. At 33/1…

Re: What unusual music… in Chit-Chat

Rodrigo Y Gabriela.

And as far as unusual goes : Atari Teenage Riot. By coincidence one of Andy J’s favourites too.

Re: Belfast gig on 28th May in Therapy? Live

Still no luck here , but have good faith that some of those The Thrills fans will leave after seeing them and before T? takes the stage.
With a bit of a one-in-one-out policy it should be possible.

Although this is the BBC and you never know.
That CeeBeeBies t-shirt and Blue Peter badge hanging in my closet could come in handy after all…

Re: Belfast gig on 28th May in Therapy? Live

Still no one with a spare ticket ?
Or a brilliant idea to get in ?

Time to contact other resources then…

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat

Was offered a FREE ticket for Bryan Adams in Dublin last night but kindly turned it down.
Still wondering now if it was the right thing to do , I might have missed a good support act ;)

Re: Belfast gig on 28th May in Therapy? Live

Cool , souldoubt !

If you’re thinking of staying overnight in Dublin and training up to Belfast on Saturday , you’re more then welcome to stay in Casa Cuchulain to avoid the ridiculous prices of hotels over here.
In true rock & roll spirit , just bring me a couple of cans of Jupiler please ;)

Ow , Ronald and DeepSleep did so before you and can vouch for me not being a serial killer.

Re: Alone and afraid of the future in General Therapy? Topics

Funny , always have to think about past relationships when hearing Don’t Expect Roses.

Especially the ‘You can kiss my ass on your way out’ :D
