Re: We’re Here Till The End in General Therapy? Topics

Currently ploughing through CD1 in the car (not right at this point, but you get my meaning…) Impressed so far and I thought similar about Screamager too…Also sounded like the drums weren’t loud enough? Still a cracking performance of the song though and the CD’s getting better!

Re: Therapy? @ HMV forum 19th november 2010 in Therapy? Live

Been a while since I’ve been on here…

We went on Friday and my god, it was brilliant!!! Because of my tardiness, we were upstairs (but, considering that the Forum is quite a good venue, didn’t impair our view or audio), but was great to see them perform Troublegum live. My missus, who has always kinda liked them, loves them after Friday. Now, as it’s finally arrvied, time for the new album to be palyed LOUD!

Caffinebomb, that story is tragic my friend. My condolescences to you and your friend on your loss. I lost a very good friend a couple of months back, things that remind you of them are often the hardest to take, so I know how you feel.

Re: World Cup 2010 in Chit-Chat

So far then…

Germany look good
England still need to decide on their team
Italy look decidingly average
The French are at each others throats (good…)
Those vuvuzulas are the single most annoying sound apart from Lady GaGa singing
The ball is not particularly liked
Raymond Domanech is not particularly liked
The best bit of commmentary so far…”(while the Ivory coast make a substitution)…and there goes Erikson, tinkling the ivories again!”
And North Korea, if they lose tonight, could start a war.

the setlist apparently was:

Setlist:
Testify
Bombtrack
People Of The Sun
Know Your Enemy
Bulls On Parade
Township Rebellion
Bullet In The Head
White Riot
Guerrilla Radio
Sleep Now In The Fire
Freedom

Killing In The Name

I had to leave during sleep now in the fire (as with Ravey Davey Gravy i had to catch a train, even though he didn’t go…) - did i really only miss 2 songs?

i may be being a bit biased but i seriously thought they were crap (as a spectacle) compared to therapy? or other NI bands such as LaFaro or ICOF. the musicianship was great but they just didn’t have the x-factor if you like. ;)

Very good sir, very good! I think they need to ‘get with the times’, as it were. In other words, new music is needed. Some are sounded quite dated, it would be good to see if they still have the anger to write songs that tell the ills of today’s society.

Yep, you did mate. I’m sure they were supposed to play a bit longer. Knew they’d (obviously) finish with KITN (which, in my view, isn’t even their best song…), but thought they would have played a couple more…No ‘Tire Me’ or ‘Wake Up’, which I was most disappointed in.

And you did the right thing, as the police and their horses were out, then the mandatory squeeze into Finsbury Park Station…Joyful, that was.

Them plastic horns are gonna ruin it for me

they are annoying as fuck

Yep, they sure are. At my last athletics match, couple of lads from another team had them…

It’s even worse when you can’t play the poxy things properly, I can tell you that!

Re: live album in General Therapy? Topics

Any news on a release date yet? I’ve not been on here much to be fair…

With Kim Jong Il leading North Korea to victory against the oppressive West!

Re: RATM for Xmas number 1 in Chit-Chat

I was there. I was in awe that I actually saw them live…However, I concur with you a bit Richboy, I think the ‘spark’ has gone a little bit in them. Still, least we’ve finally got to see them.

Re: World Cup 2010 in Chit-Chat

Spain to win over Brazil, England will end up in the third place play off against the old enemy (Germany). North Korea, they, along with New Zealand, will be lucky to score a goal (and the North Koreans probably won’t get to see any of it, given ol’ Kim Jong Il has banned any games where they don’t do well…) and the French team sound on the verge of implosion.

Should be entertaining, to say the least!

Re: Special 2010 London Shows Confirmed in Therapy? Live

Bit late, but the Tuesday gig was amazing. And apart from the heat (which, lets be honest, can’t be levelled at the band!), it was a perfect night. Me, my better half and my mate’s ear’s stopped ringing around lunchtime Wednesday. Cannot wait for the live album to come out. Being lazy and not going through the whole topic, has a release date been set?

And as for the Sonisphere news…That now makes it a bit more tempting…

yeah he’s on the kerbdog cover album (which i still need to buy) doing jj songs, so hearing someone doing jj’s song acoustically could be worth the few quid entry fee alone (never got the chance to see kerbog and probably never will), i’ll more than likely go by the looks of things, but i agree that inme were fucking awful, never walked out of a bands set in my life before them. I might see if a few mates are up for it (know quite a few people unfortunatly that were in to shit like inme)

There’s a Kerbdog cover album??? Why did I not know this?!!

He was very good on the Tuesday, I’d recommend going to see him. InMe weren’t terrible, didn’t set the world alight though. He is the best thing about that band though.

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat

Rammstein at Wembley in Feb. My god, it was fucking brilliant! Got Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip Tuesday coming, then Therapy? on the 30th and my birthday inbetween…

Not all bad, I guess!

Rather Mr Blobby than any of those morons.

Mrs H, I will check this, but I do believe Chocolate Salty Balls was a Xmas number 1…I may be wrong

@Rob et al - don’t know what the reason is but the Tuesday gig in London was cancelled, sorry I forgot to mention it here.

Bugger!

Cheers Sarah, due to a severe lack of time, that was the only date I could have made!

Enjoy all who are going!
