Re: John Sicolo, Newports godfather of the underground passed way today in Chit-Chat
That was some gig! Reminiscent of TJ’s sweatbox shows of old with the whole place going off! We were queueing by 7.30 and in by about 8.30 so we got a decent spot where it wasn’t too rammed. You missed a good one tonight hopefully I got some decent pics too :-)

Turd, that link was intended to be for the Skindred Homecoming Group on Facebook but it fucked up. Show is on, in Bassment and original tickets are still valid

Amazing! Is it still in TJ’s as I’ve just seen a post a few secs ago on the Skindred FB page from Vice saying that its on but in the Bassment on Stow Hill

Re: Ever walked out of a gig? in Other Bands & Artists
Quite a few walkouts and the older I get the less tolerant I become.
Motorhead on quite a few occasions because the sound is always so pisspoor it sounds like the same song 15 times.
GLC not sure what I expected really but it was full of student cuntbags wearing supposedly ironic t shirts
Suicidal Tendencies on Saturday, not because they were shit but because I thought I was going to vom
Exodus early show with Dukes after Steve Souza left
Anthrax with Belladonna
Have jibbed off plenty of festival bands purely for shiteness;
Cradle of Filth
Tool
Paradise Lost
Kreator
Oh yeah and Gwen Stefani! That was a competition win where I got a free trip to NYC to see Gwen Stefani but I left after 30 minutes and went to the Superbowl of Hardcore in Brooklyn to see Negative Approach instead

John Sicolo, Newports godfather of the underground passed way today in Chit-Chat
Many of you will have been to T? Shows in Newport TJ’s over the years so it’s with much sadness that I learned today that the owner John Sicolo passed away this morning. John was one of those people that you could meet once and he’d always remember you, I was lucky enough to have 15 years of good times thanks to John and TJ’s.
There are a few tribute pages on Facebook and BBC music have requested any memories you may have for a special tribute recording.

That sucks, at least they have re-scheduled rather than just pulling the whole thing

Re: What’s EveryOne watching in Chit-Chat
Sons of Anarchy is the best thing on TV at the moment. Saw Paranormal Activity 2 weeks ago and thought it was a steaming pile of donkey turd, not scary at all, maybe I have just been desensitized by too many years of Takashi Miike movies :-(

Is that Ruby Cruiser as in the band from Abergavenny? I used to knock around with Ed and Matt and the EJ’s in the mid-late 90’s, weird seeing the pics on the Facebook group as I went to most of those shows in TJ’s

Re: Football in Chit-Chat
Don’t want to crash the current discussion, just to pledge my allegiance :)
Liverpool fan of the true til death variety, must be as I am going tomorrow night and its my wedding anniversary! Also an occasional Newport county visitor but not so much as I don’t live there anymore.
Let the beach-ball mockery commence…

Re: what was the last gig you went to? in Chit-Chat
Skindred in Manchester a fortnight ago, always good fun. Can’t wait until next Saturday when I’ll be seeing Blacklisted, Bane and Maximum Penalty in NYC, just a shame I’m missing lots of T? dates just down the road from me while I’m away.

Born Against - Nine patriotic hymns
Sheer Terror-Bulldog edition
Judge- Bringin it down
Kill Your Idols-This is just the beginning

Hi all in New Members (Introduce Yourself)
Just re-registered after many years absence and senility preventing me from recalling either my username or password so here I am. First T? show was in Newport in ‘95 and been a disciple ever since. Its also nice that there are lots of other more senior members here as I don’t feel quite so old.

Re: Photo’s from last nights T? gig in TJ’s 16/10/09 in Therapy? Live
Thanks for sharing these pics, I registered on here years ago but I must be going senile as I can’t remember my login details :(
Its almost 14 years to the day since the first time I saw T? in Newport Centre and like a fine wine they just get better with age. Great show in TJ’s, just gutted I won’t be around for the Liverpool or Manchester shows. Enjoy the rest of the tour, you’re in for a treat.
