Just got done with Flood by They Might Be Giants. Lovely album.

A good sampler of his early stuff is the Bowie at the Beeb album. Better than a best of anyway. It has two discs of radio sessions from the 60s pop stuff up to about Ziggy.

It’d be nice if the Exiles single could have a few Water Rats songs as b-sides, just a few…

I was going to jump on the bandwagon and listen to Disintegration, but it’s too nice a day so I’ve got Parallel Lines by Blondie on instead.

Same thing.

Maybe he’ll release a solo album of animal-themed songs.

I do love a bit of Stevie.

It’s cold and pissing down.

To the band - I’m the knob shouting for Duran Duran.

We’re not getting any big ones yet, thankfully. Eurgh.

Also, I think everybody has decided to mow their lawns today.

I did enjoy the Zwan for a change. Having it in the background meant I was able to focus only on the occasionally excellent Bimmy combo.

It’s sunny, and Zwan is about the most sickeningly sunny band I’ve got.

I thought it was about time this album got another spin.

I still think that HA is just a bit too crisp. There are some very good songs but I got SPYF around the same time…

I’d certainly listen to it a bit more often - I think the songs are bloody fantastic.

I’m sure I read that the Japanese edition just had the songs without the segues but I’m not sure if I want to trust Wikipedia that much.

I can kind of see what you are getting at. I like it a lot, but I think if it was any longer then I would get pretty sick of it.

Polar Bear is one of those songs which I always skip when I hear the intro, but if I bother to listen to it properly then I remember that I like it quite a bit.

Infernal Love might be higher up without those segues. They do work but sometimes I just can’t be arsed and want to listen to the songs.

I love this track, especially the part where the guitar’s all “buhdleeweedlee dee dee duweeedly”.

I’ve been having a mini-Deftonesfest with the two albums I own - Around the Fur and White Pony. Enjoyed them muchly. I forgot that I had left ATF running and had a bit of a fright when Damone came on.

I’m listening to all of my albums with ‘blue’ in the title. It seemed appropriate and I have nothing better to do today.

Totally great video. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen much in the way of good quality live videos after 2003 or so, although audience ones are certainly getting better - there were some great ones of the Water Rats shows.
