New Therapy? on Pandora in General Therapy? Topics
Pandora radio has added the albums “Suicide Pact-You First” and “A brief Crack of Light” to their music library.
This is good news to me because I wrote them a while back asking them if they could add more songs by Therapy? and they were actually very supportive. Much respect for them.
Beforehand, all they had was Shameless and one song from NANE (Rock you monkeys).

Re: Funny lyrics in General Therapy? Topics
Very interesting take coldstar. It also makes so much sense. Especially after reading the pitchfork review.
I always found Therapy? to be very funny and weird.

I’m from the US as well, and I ordered mine from Global. It was cheap! I don’t buy as much music these days, but I support my favorite artists, especially when I feel it is important to.
So here’s what I think of the new cd.
The first time I listened to each track was when I previewed it on amazon. It sounded so fresh and weird. I was excited to hear the whole thing.
About a month later, I got the cd in the mail from the UK. I listened to it real quick before I went to work.
This first listen was really unpleasant. The weird sounds and textures, the really subtle bass, and the lyrics all made me feel really unpleasant. Plus some of the vocal parts were so weird it was almost lame sounding. I didn’t enjoy it. It also felt really short. Like I said though, this was only after one breeze through. Unfortunately, I think too many big reviewers simply don’t consider the longevity of the music they review. They want music that instantly asks for their attention.
I then gave it a casual listen, having it on play while I did other things. The second time I listened to the whole thing was very different. Things came to me that I didn’t notice before, and it sounded better. Once I got off my toes waiting to be blown away, I was actually able to appreciate the record. And it only got better after each listen. I even found myself dancing to Marlow one night. The beats are just so good in that song.
You have to be in the mood to listen to this album, but when you are, it’s just generally amazing. A very creative and weird record, even for Therapy?

“My heart is broken. And you did it!” From This Ship Is Sinking is so straight to the point and cheesy, it’s funny. But it suits the record well, especially since its title is Never Apologize Never Explain. lol

I like the book idea. I’ve never seen them before though. But if there’s anything I can contribute let me know

I Think a hoodie would be great. A cool one, maybe with a bunch of mini album covers or something. Idk. Whoa, I just realized I wish I had like a shirt for every album, with lyrics that represent the album’s sound or themes. That would be boss, even if it will never happen
